I will say this, we may need 2 more years to truly know. Some QBs take a few years to really settle in. Cam was an exception but he didn't put it really together until year 3 (but he had soooo much natural talent and size). The smarts are what keeps QBs around. Even Lamar Jackson with all that talent is starting to struggle. But Baker gets better and better. Even Sam Arnold turned his career around (not saying he's great). Bryce might need another year to start being the top 10 or so QB we need. And maybe not, but I wouldn't give up on him too soon, we paid too much. Because of that, he's gonna get at least 4 years of the 5 to see.

2 more years    Is he going to get bigger in those 2 years?  Is he going to fix his mechanics in 2 years?  His flaws are unfixable.  And I seriously doubt Morgan and Dave want to anchor their jobs to Bryce for 2 more years.  Especially after Sunday.

Let's say he doesn't peak for two more years. Let's operate under the assumption that is accurate.

Explain to me what you view that "peak" as in two years?

It is the same now as it was in early 2023. He has no ‘plus’ physical traits as judged on an NFL level grading scale. 

Such a huge red flag.

In looking for positives I think I would commend his resiliency more than anything he has done physically.

Realistically, he’s become very good at Redzone passing. His ability to buy time, and his threat to potentially pull and run on an RPO, makes the Redzone full 11 on 11. He’s so small that I think the defense has a hard time seeing where he has escaped to. 
 

If he could somehow develop a deep ball I think Bryce could be a good enough QB, given we have a defensive minded program that runs the ball well, all of the time, to get to a Super Bowl. 
 

that said, I will be very interested to see what the offense looks like with Dalton. I want to see if Bryce has been holding the group back or not. There is no doubt that Dalton is a better pure passer of the football, but at four wins, I don’t see the ability to draft a replacement for Bryce. 
 

I’ll go on the record as saying that I’d like Tyson Bagent from the Bears to compete for a starting job in 2026. He’s got all of the attributes that would absolutely flourish in this scheme. I actually believe that if Caleb Williams wasn’t a first overall pick, and Ben Johnson wasn’t hired specifically for him, that they would start Bagent.
