Most backup QBs are ass. Look at Browning in Cincinnati, any of the 100 QBs on the Browns, the Ravens without Lamar, etc etc. Once your starter goes down you’re generally in big trouble.

And yet the Bengals admitted as such and traded for Flacco, who's been LIGHTING it up and Ravens Huntley is 14/15 for 156 yds right now.

Dalton fumble in the red zone , throws  blatant pick to the defender standing right in front of him then got sack in the red zone when we all know you throw it away asap . But yall blaming Canales . Lol

I’m only blaming Canales for messing up the pace of the game not running Rico consistently. Meanwhile Kirk Cousins is also just as bad

The big surprise to me is that Dalton isn’t mentally with it. He knows this stuff, I don’t know where his head is.
I was a little worried he had lost some skills but the decision making sounds really out of character.

Whoever said heavy dose of RICO and conservative use of the pass was the right approach, was right. He can still make some throws

    • I don’t know about floor in a team defense sense but we needed more.  The floor that I am familiar with is our QBs floor and it is so low that every other part of the team needs to be beefed up.     We tried our best to improve these things and I think we did improve the defense and we at least kept the offense  from sinking from no LT.  And ostensibly helped the receivers too.   So we kept a window open that we at least have a chance to improve our record by a game of two.  Which would probably give us the division.

    • Yeah. I am one of. those who think a JAG RB can eat with really good blocking. (Brooks is most important in my mind, in tbe passing game and that is what we’ll lose without him)  There are a lot of aspects to this. The big one that caused us to struggle is Young and his arm scared no one.  Best back, best blocking still cannot defeat a really good defense if they are not forced to respect the pass.  And teams did not.    But, a strong OL and running game Can get us over against weaker defenses.  And if Bryce still doesn’t scare anyone we can still win some games. Like last year  So it is really important to tend to that OL.   Get that straight and see if in his fourth year he can finally back defenses off. That is what if is all about this year to me, on the Bryce front.
