Mark Schlereth on Sundays game

Schlereth sounds kind of smarmy for someone telling how great Bryce was for two years

People that get paid to talk always tend towards good cop / bad cop vibes.  Never count on anyone in sports media to deliver the unvarnished truth, they're going to deliver what they think the majority will tune in to hear.

Bryce chatter has been two distinct camps, holdouts vs haters.  Apparently the holdouts aren't tuning in much anymore.

To me there are only 2 Panthers reporters who are more honest than most and will say things even when it’s unpopular. Everybody hates one of them, and the other has been around a long time.

No...the counters were there, Young can't execute them.

I disagree on half of your assessment. If Bryce cant throw down field and their game plan was to stop the run and be aggressive with the short intermediate throws that’s on Bryce. What’s left for Canales to do? Per the press conference the calls are being made. Bryce is either scared to throw them or he isn’t capable of making the throws. For a 3rd year QB neither is good.

I agree.  I'm not sure what exactly Canales was supposed to do Sunday.  At some point players have to make plays regardless of calls.

He sounded like he'd had a bit of truth serum and by that I mean he sounded like he was four or five deep. Those beers tasted like he was about to say what he really thought about Bryce Young. LOL

I was drinking with an advance scout(former CFB player) for the Gator Bowl a few weeks ago around Chicago and I asked him while he was lit up about Arch Manning. The responses were very funny.

I’d love to know if there were guys open downfield and Bryce didn’t see them. Or was there no one open.

I don’t remember them ever taking a shot to TMac downfield. Is that not his specialty? Is Canales not capable of scheming TMac one on one for a shot downfield several times per game?

Bench Young.

I think we all agree on that. Unfortunately, we don't have a capable backup on the roster. Dalton looked awful in his one start this season and I don't think we have a 3rd option on the roster. Didn't we release Hooker and White this month?
