Has Bryce ever hit a dude deep in stride like he did today with XL? Im pretty sure thats the first time he's done it in 3 years. No its not a DC issue, in fact, the scheme and receiver play was great today. Receivers were running free all day.

I do t know what that looked like on tv but it was an absolute duck. I was 20 row back in that end zone.

if the roof had been closed the air conditioning would have knocked it down.

Im happy Bryce had a decent game but we need this  consistently!! All 22 showed for weeks that teams schemed for Rico and Bryce didn't attack it. That's why he said it didn't translate from practice to the games. We've seen Tua have these type games a ton but he is not their answer. We need more than this Atlanta  game to see what we truly have. I'm going to celebrate this win but I'm also going to wait to see if he can follow this up on a playoff run. Regardless,  we have to add to the Qb room. Rather it's a vet backup or someone to push him better than Andy. True competition.

Bryce had another great game against the Falcons today. He needs to continue to play with that same fire and a little bit of gunslinger mentality if we're going to upset any of the NFC West teams and have a shot at finishing top of the division. I fully expect him to revert back to his normal showings but maybe at some point something clicks and we finally turn the corner. I don't have high hopes for that but maybe there's a chance. Either way unless we win the division with more showings like today we HAVE to bring in some legit competition for QB1 this offseason. How Bryce finishes will determine how much we need to spend to make that happen.

Well said and agreed.

I've honestly been wanting changes to our scheme on offense and this is definitely the first week I've seen that all year.

Also agree - let me see the same level of effectiveness against the 49ers and then I'll start ringing the bell that I was wrong on saying Bryce is a bum

Is it DC not calling the routes or Bryce not throwing them when we call them. I honestly don't know but am starting to think it might be a DC problem

Don't think its DC Brycey knew after sharting the bed vs the worst team in the league last week his career was on the line... and he was still out there looking timid af and not aware situationaly. He threw deep because he knew if he didnt he wasnt coming back from the next benching.

    • I agree with this and I think it's worth mentioning too that Bryce is not consistent on his placement and especially velocity and that in large part is driven by his footwork. We all know XL doesn't have the best hands and I don't know that he can overcome that. Cam always had the heater that just hit your hands and sank into your grip, where Bryce has some that are harder thrown, some soft. Bryce stepping into a pass looks so much different than that hop throw thing he does. I think XL really needs to hit the jugs machine and start learning how to catch all these different touch passes. TMac and Coker don't have these issues. If XL doesn't get some work in he's going to be out of the league in the next couple of years.
    • I think most people like XL from a personal standpoint. I don't think he's stupid either. Although if we are being realistic he is lacking in football IQ at this point in time and it cannot be disputed that he has not taken working on his craft seriously at all times given the body of work on the field. It speaks for itself. I myself have defended him at times given the circumstances of our QB room. But he is now in his third year and 25 years old. We are not in a position as a franchise to go around babying anyone especially first round draft picks. He needs to take his position and his football career seriously or he is going to end up selling used cars somewhere. I hope he realizes this and takes an extended break from social media because that mess certainly isn't going to increase his net worth if he ends up out of the league. And these hanger on types will disappear quick too once that money dries up and it surely will eventually. We'll see how he responds.
