He’s probably going to need the same procedure I just had cause I bet he’s got cartilage dmg. 

it’s called the MACI procedure. I was in a straight leg brace for 10 weeks. And there’s nothing you can do to speed that along because you’re waiting for cartilage to adhere and regrow.

Been there, done that, too. Long, hard road to recovery, but when it works it's as good as new.
