If Bryce shows up and actually does something worthy of the #1 pick then my opinion on him might change. But if he craps the bed, walks into 4th quarter with less than a 100yards total. Then I’m done with him. This is his moment and he better not F it up. Because if so? I’m done. No matter what he does later on.

I mean, sure, they're both "from California", but they're both from So Cal, playing in SF is basically the same distance from their hometowns as playing in Cincinnati would be for someone from Charlotte.

Just sayin' lol

Charlotte used to be in the Cincinnati reds market thanks to time Warner cable.  Just sayin

Honestly, we have no clue.

I really like what Dave Canales is building in the locker room.  It looks good.  But we have finally turned a real corner?  Or was Sunday just "we play Falcons gud?"  I don't expect Bryce to throw for 400 yards again.

I'd LIKE to see the Panthers run the ball well and make plays in the passing game.  Sometimes, it's going to be a short throw in an important moment.  Other times, it's going to be an explosive play or scoring play.  I want to see our defense minimize mistakes and try to slow down Kittle and CMC.  Brock Purdy can get hot.

Also, the 49s under Shanahan have been a really well coached team.  They aren't going to be a pushover at all.  They are going to be a very tough test to see how far our Panthers have come.

I hope for a win!

Living in Southern CA now, I can say the Rams fans are ok, but the 49ers fans are insufferable    Totally, absolutely insufferable

as for the Panthers

dont play scared and don’t be conservative

give it your best shot and represent

49ers 34    Panthers 24

i desperately hope I’m wrong as I hate those arrogant bastards

ps  Dave, no more Chandler, ok     Just no more

I’m expecting we lay an egg on national television. We’ve got to start getting some pressure on the quarterback and backfield. Could be a patriots type beating. But honestly, who the hell knows with this team. I’d just love to be competitive and play mistake free football for 4 quarters.

Gonna be tough on Carolina's defense. They have a receiving TE and RB. Like best in the NFL at what we tend to struggle against. This game will come down to CSW and Moehrig. Maybe Thornton can get in the fray.

Offensively, this is a game Carolina should be able to move the ball on the ground and in the air. The key will be the redzone. Gotta come away with more TDs than FGs.

Hope: 30-24 Panthers

Realistically: 40-24 49ers

Was just thinking about it, and the game Bryce just had was probably the absolute worst thing that could have happened for our chances in this upcoming game.

We beat the Packers for the same reason we lost to the Saints.  We didn't take the Saints seriously while looking ahead to the Falcons during the week and they took advantage of it, just as the Packers didn't take us seriously while looking ahead to the Eagles and we took advantage of it.

Bryce having that game just now put the 49ers on full alert this week in practice, combined with a MNF game where they don't want to get embarrassed by losing to the Panthers on that stage, and I think we're getting their absolute best this week.  It also doesn't help that the 49ers next 2 games are the Browns and Titans, so they certainly aren't looking ahead in their schedule this week.

I think the key to this game will be Rico getting at least 150 yards rushing on the ground and the Panthers need to control the TOP. Panthers need at least 2 takeaways as well. I also think Bryce needs to have another big day like Sunday. The Panthers D needs to limit CMC to 60 yards rushing or less. If they can do all of this I think they can win!

They need to win badly

7 point spread

West coast trip

Terrible horrible defense

Not totally undoable

Those cross country trips are bad on a team. Look at the Chargers last Sunday against Jacksonville.
