Per Jared Feinberg, we'll likely go into this game with neither Trevin Wallace nor Christian Rozeboom, while facing Christian McCaffrey.

Not encouraging 😬

They can’t score if they are on the bench

offense and special teams will have to carry if they are to win

here’s hoping

im trying to have some, knowing better

I go into this one with fairly low expectations... but that isn't exactly a new thing 😕

Was just thinking about it, and the game Bryce just had was probably the absolute worst thing that could have happened for our chances in this upcoming game.

We beat the Packers for the same reason we lost to the Saints.  We didn't take the Saints seriously while looking ahead to the Falcons during the week and they took advantage of it, just as the Packers didn't take us seriously while looking ahead to the Eagles and we took advantage of it.

Bryce having that game just now put the 49ers on full alert this week in practice, combined with a MNF game where they don't want to get embarrassed by losing to the Panthers on that stage, and I think we're getting their absolute best this week.  It also doesn't help that the 49ers next 2 games are the Browns and Titans, so they certainly aren't looking ahead in their schedule this week.

I don't think we were looking ahead to the Falcons. I think it's even weirder - they just were so sure they'd arrived they didn't need to prepare for the Saints as hard.

I think it’s cool that no one can be really certain what the outcome will be.  That’s a lot of progress!

This is a real opportunity for us, I’d be happy with a competitive game and thrilled if we sack up for a W.

That is a good point there. We are getting what a lot of us felt was the minimum reasonable expectation. That we play competitively and we get some meaningful games in December.
We may not be quite into being relevant in December but have a chance to be.

And I say reasonable expectations as the bar for the franchise on a yearly basis. Not specifically this year, but all years.

Right now there are three west coast NFC teams in a 1-2 game window of winning the division or out of the playoffs. San Fran know this and are very unlikely to not give their best effort. I look for them to follow the Saints game plan in shutting down our running game but unlike Atlanta keeping a Defence lineman in front of BY. They may not get a sack, but if they induce BY back into the "bunny hop" throws, it may work better for them, IMO. SF 27 CAR 13

I think this team comes out and plays hard and we win a close one to put the league on notice that we are back to being relevant.

I predict a score of 28-24 Panthers with a viral clip of Bryce Young hitting the Dab after a rushing TD. That clip then airs on every sports network for the next week till we get boat raced by the Rams.

Only saving solution to keeping CMC under his averages is

*BUT* then kittle is then breaking the single game TE records.....

    • He was so much fun to watch as a player but is a prototypical example of the old "never meet your heroes" adage. Great player, not a great guy.
    • Look.... if us BY "haters" give credit about his GWDs...... Will the BY stans also have honest discussion about the 55minutes before the last 5 in which BY has put up 9/20 for 78 yards 0 TDs???
    • The way they are handling now is how they should have handled it from the start instead of that you get a series, you a get a series. Let Chuba spell until he had some of his step back.  We definitely could have put a better showing against Buffalo and their weak run defense had we employed the same game plan we did against Green Bay. Saints were determined to stop the run and make Bryce beat them, Atlanta had similar plan and the coaches and Bryce were able to respond.  Rico although didnt have the best rushing game was vital in the passing game and his catch and run help get us into the redzone there at the end of regulation probably should have been a touchdown that out of bounds was a judgement call it wasn't conclusive and thus should have went with the original call on the field.  Roco brings that dawg to the offense that it shorely lacked up until Miami game. Interesting it was his call that help seal the win for us, glad the coaches were listening. Hope they can get a deal done and run it back next year.
