39-13 49ers win.

We score a garbage time TD, but this game is over at the half.

I don't think 49ers don't have a 39 point offense.

The 41 they scored against the Cardinals was a aberration rather than the norm.

They were aided by a kick return td, 3 turnovers, and 17 Cardinal penalties.

Efficient offense but their passing game is predicated on the tightend and finding Christian Mccaffrey out of the backfield, of their 20 passing tds this season only 3 were accredited to wide receivers.

Granted covering TE's and RB's has been a struggle for our linebacker crew, but if they can employ a similar strategy with Horn on Kittle ala Kyle Pitts the 49ers don't have a Drake London who can kill us.

Defensively both defenses are ineffective at rushing the passer, Bryce just faced the #2 sack defense so facing the 49ers who are dead last in the league should be a relief.

The 49ers are near the bottom as far as allowing production to WR's that typically means weak secondary, so I don't think they can afford to mug the line of scrimmage ala the Saints and Falcons they have to employ a shell zone which could open up the door for Rico and the run game, unless they doubt and test whether Bryce can have a repeat performance.

Should be a good match up, both teams should be able to move the ball, turnovers and execution in the Redzone will decide it.

I think the Panthers take it if they can ride the momentum of last games passing attack.

They got the #2 pass offense in the NFL and could jump to #1 any given Sunday at this point.   They are playing at home.   There passing strength also syncs up with our weakness on pass defense.

Those passing yards were accumulated with Mac Jones at Qb for what it's worth.

The last two road games at Green Bay and Atlanta we've faired well.

Their passing strength does line up with our weakness.

They were already dealing with injuries on defense and now the backup MLB who was filling in for Fred Warner suffered a high ankle sprain against the Cardinals so they will be down to their 3rd string MLB so a defense already struggling will have to deal with replacing another starter.

49ers 38

Panthers 10

I have a significant amount of hatred for the 49ers but they are immensely more talented(even though they are banged up), the gulf between the coaching staff quality is one of the largest imaginable and they will be at home.

I think this is just one of those bad matchups for us. If we can't ball control early and force TO's, this is gonna get out of hand quickly.

McCaffrey may set a single game rushing record.

Or receiving

the panthers offense and special teams have to perform

those linebackers replacing the 2 that is out also play special teams

49ers are vulnerable defensively too

gotta say that  having Corbett and Zavala on the line is concerning

i really want tgem to won this game

History indicates we typically poo the bed in prime time games.

I was going to say this. Don't expect anything like the Falcons game last Sunday.

I don't think we'll have answers defensively for Kittle and McCaffrey. Among others. Missing your two starting ILBs and your starting Center is an absolute killer.

The only thing we have going for us is pure luck that injuries and free agency have decimated the 49ers defense recently. If they had their Super Bowl defense with Warner, Greenlaw, Bosa, and the secondary guys they lost.  Then this would have been a massacre.

Maybe we have a slight chance if we can somehow get the pass rush going and stop cmc from murdering us.

    • Do you see the vision?  As of now our Carolina Panthers don’t have an identity. We are not an offensive powerhouse and on defense we only started getting it together towards the end of the year last year. In my opinion we are much closer to having an incredible defense that scares the daylights out of people. I say the answer is simple and we fully commit to that possible identity.    Emmanuel McNeil Warren (E man)  This guy is like a shark lurking around ready to attack anyone. Fearless. He is easily a top 20 talent in my eyes, and the only reason he isn’t more talked about is because he’s from Toledo. Do your due diligence as panther fans and watch his tape I beg you. Once you’re done watching let me ask you this, if you dropped E - Man into the strong safety spot on the Buckeyes, he isn’t being talked about as one of the best prospects we’ve seen in some time given the skill set you see with this guy? I think so. Put his name on the card and turn it in at 19.    Jacob Rodriguez  High effort, High energy, High IQ guy that flies around the field. We all know Jacob at this point. My only concern is he’s a little bit too good and I’m not sure he makes it to us at our pick in the second. With the additions of Jacob and E- Man I think our defense goes to top 5 in the league. We would have a duo of linebackers that rival anything we’ve had in our past. I’m not a GM so I don’t know what the possible answer could be, but if there’s a way we can comfortably trade up in the second to secure this guy I think we find a way to do it.    Spend the rest of our picks fixing the O - line.    Thoughts Panthers fans? Who’s the ideal duo for yall?
