He’s also probably waiting on Canales and Morgan to say they are done with it. If he makes them, it’s hard to hold them accountable later. Part of “stepping back”

Hence the part that if they pick up the 5th a lot of jobs are on the line with that outcome.  Morgan and DC most certainly.

They draft a guy or get a decent vet then the clock somewhat resets.  Saying you are rolling with BY for 2 more years is signing your death wish if it doesnt work

I legitimately like Bryce the person. He'd be awesome to root for if he was delivering. He's just not and I don't think he has the physical capability if delivering on a regular basis. That sucks but it just is what it is.

Said it before, I avoided his articles, interviews, pressers, all of it for a long time because I don’t want it personalized. I mean I knew nothing about him when I ‘scouted’ him and came to the ‘aw hell no’ conclusion in less than an hour.

But you can’t avoid it forever, and I came to learn that he has great character afa I can tell, is a really good kid, and if he could play I would absolutely be a huge fan.

God gave him everything but that NFL player gift. Sorry Bryce I can’t do it.

Exactly. He’s going to have to look like Mahomes the next 5 games for Morgan to take the option. He’s more likely to get traded on his 4th year or go against real competition. I’m not a football executive but I’d really just get him out ASAP this offseason so there is no chance of having him come back in next year and fool everyone into another deal.

Everyone shitting on Tepper about being impatient. He’s trying to prove he’s not impatient. Tepper in 2020 would have gotten rid of Bryce already.

If that’s the case then canales and Morgan are blind, I want to believe that tepper is just chillin and letting Dave and Dan do their thing but they’re seeing the same thing we are but with a lot more information, film, advance stats etc and still think sub 200 yards per game and like 4 ypa is a winning formula? Would understand more if we didn’t just have a game where our RBs got a total of 9 touches while averaging 5 yard per carry, it just doesn’t add up

Tepper has no problem getting rid of players or coaches. He was okay with Bryce getting benched last year, was fine with getting rid of Burns. He’s not going to force anyone’s hand or prematurely fire anyone this cycle. So when/if he goes coach hunting again, he doesn’t have the impatient asshole label.

I think it’s more likely Canales and/or Morgan pitched that they could fix Bryce. Or would at least try to.

I think yes absolutely that was the mandate. He wasn’t hiring someone like Frank that said they couldn’t fix him.
I am gonna parse it the way I would discuss it with him, and that would be hey you know this is a tall order.

I know what I am doing and will do my best and if he listens and does the work I can help him. But I can’t promise miracles and if he turns out to be a lost cause don’t blame me for it.

I'm not so sure. Something about the whole Frank/Bryce situation seemed off from day 1. Bryce didn't fit Frank's QB mold as well as Stroud, then he basically gives up when Bryce is named starter in preseason but gets virtually no reps in games. Then he looks completely unprepared and Dalton steps in in Seattle, has a decent game under immense pressure, and it's right back to Bryce. All his mechanics are terrible and he's having the worst rookie season ever and Frank doesn't bench him?

You dont have to be a conspiracy theorist to know Bryce wasn't ready to be a day 1 starter. Everything with Bryce, then coaches, and the FO seemed forced.

    • Idk man, I think it’s necessary.  There’s people working 9-5s everyday that get told poo about what they aren’t and what they’re not capable of and they’re working for scraps.  These guys are making millions.  People are watching and invested because their team and fandom is a part of their identity and a big source of pride.  When someone like Bryce comes in and is given chance after chance after chance after proving he is not worthy of the position he’s being gifted, and he continues to be the biggest reason above any that we are losing, yeah…  I think it’s fair to call a spade a spade.  Am I saying Bryce the person is trash?  Bryce the person is a piece of poo?  Absolutely not.     I came up in an era, especially in basketball, where if you were fuging up people heckled the poo out of you.  I played in rec leagues as a teen where the fuging parents were calling kids trash and yelling poo like “TURNOVER!!!  TURNOVER!!!”  “CANT DRIBBLE!”  “CANT SHOOT!”  And that’s adults screaming that poo to kids like we were in the fuging Rucker lol.🤣🤣🤣  I went on to play basketball at a collegiate level and with professional players in different settings.  What those experiences as a kid taught me was to see if there is any merit to what people are saying, and if there is, then work my ass off til they can’t say that anymore.  Come back better, tougher, harder.  And I did.  If kids can figure that poo out, an adult calling another adult who is bad at his job while making millions and millions of dollars will be just fine.
    • I have tried to like this team, lord knows I have tried. BY9 is a nice young man, if I had a daughter he can take her to prom, but he ain't QB1 and he's not Cam or Delhomme Chuba is a average RB, he isn't Stephen Davis, he isn't J-Stew McMillan has the makings of a good WR, but he isn't 89/Moose D. Brown is a great player, but if the game was on the line I want Kris Jenkins       I miss this brand of football, even in the bad Jake games the games were entertaining It has been nearly 8 years now of watching numb football
