I wouldn't touch any QB in this upcoming draft class. It's just not a good class, IMO.

I expect Bryce to go into next season as the starter, but they will bring in veteran competition.

 - Jameis Winston (under contract through next season)
 - Mac Jones (under contract through next season)
 - Will Levis (under contract through next season)
 - Joe Flacco (FA)
 - Carson Wentz (FA)
 - Malik Willis (FA)
 - Sam Howell (FA)

someone with a strong enough arm to play football outdoors.

Bryce Young has 39 NFL starts.

He has just 7 games indoors.

In those 7 games, they contain 83% of his starts where he threw for more than 2 TDs (so every game but 1 was indoors) and 53% of his 200+ yard games as a passer.

I said this after the falcons game. He's a decent dome quarterback. Below average in an environment like Charlotte and dog poo everywhere else

Haven’t heard yet, with NIL I wouldn’t be shocked if he stayed in school for another year.

He should.

And I know what he looked like this year. But even if he is an AR type of level project, he has legit tools; you might be able to get him in a much more reasonable slot where you could for sure afford to work with him a couple of years before running him out there.

edit: I mean, if he doesn’t stay in school.

I’d love to draft him in later rounds if he declares

Not sure it matters.  If we get a good QB, Canales will take the ball out of his hands so he can run some play the other team doesn't expect and the announcers and media will talk about how brilliant he is. Rico was virtually unstoppable until Canales shut him down.

I can see it now. We'll have a QB who is 19 for 20 and near a perfect passer rating and Canales will run him on a QB sneak on 3rd and 18.

Soo tired of Canales and the front office trying to win smartest people in the room award when they could just do what the situation calls for.

I think we need to look at a Vet next year and grab a mid round QB knowing we will probably go QB Rd1 in 2027

This is the way.

I would still love it if we could trade a 5th to the Giants for Winston in the offseason and then draft somebody like Sam Leavitt or Sawyer Robertson in the 4th.

    • Dude, I think I might be having Jarvy withdrawals... I ripped the sleeves off of all of my t-shirts in my sleep last night. Every bite of my Alpha-Bita cereal spelled Seth, this morning. And, I took 7 naps before lunch. I'm losing it guys! Jarvy's Jaunty Band of Jaggoffs are getting more play than he is... smh Team Canada doesn't treasure Jarvis the way he deserves. He should take his band down to Liechtenstein, get a bag of passports, and start his own Olympic team! The raw animal magnetism of Jarvilicious will bring in a handful of NHLers on its own. And, since the IOC believes in collective punishment, he could have his pick of the rookies. Then, just fill out the rest of the roster with the maple blooded great white northerners who couldn't make the top squad. Can't trust this assembled awesomery to just any old Liechtensteinien with a clipboard and a whistle. Gotta bring in a legend worthy of this gold medal gambit. A hockey HOFer with the balls to buck the system and the aura to match our maverick. Huere geil, Vaduz!!! 2030 Gold Medal guaranteed!
    • Tennessee isn't trading a QB on a 2nd round contract that has starting experience.  That's bad business.
    • OT is the top priority as it is both an immediate and future need.  I wouldn't be past trading up slightly to get the guy we want.  You need that rookie contract right now.  Icky is a dead 17.5 million for the season.  Morton is 20+ mil for the season, Hunt is 20+ mil for the season.  There needs to be forward thinking regarding the future.   Caleb Lomu is a left Tackle, he's a solid prospect, he may be the best pick for us now and in the future.  I would seriously consider cutting Hunt after 2026, and let Lomu and Icky fight for the LT job, loser moves inside.  Icky's future may be at guard after this injury anyway.  If Damien Lewis keeps up his level of play he will need to be paid sooner rather than later.  Yosh and BC can be our top two depth OL at an affordable price.  You will need to look at OT again in 2027. Getting an EDGE for the sake of getting an EDGE outside of the top 10 is pretty risky.  I wouldn't be against eyeing someone like Cashius Howell, Derrick Moore, or TJ Parker in the 2nd (even if we trade a future pick to move up) or DDS in the third. I'd love to see us try to sign both Leo Chenal and Matt Millano in FA.   Chenal for the blitzing element we are missing from our LB corps and Millano for his elite coverage.  They could both work in tandem.  Remember, our FO has deep ties to both KC and Buffalo. I love thinking about the draft, but until Free Agency hits, we are clueless.  Looking at the strength of FA and the draft, OL is priority #1, LB #2, and EDGE #3.  We know what happens to Bryce when protection falls apart.
