If the Panthers win the division, who's our likely opponent in the home playoff game?

Do we want anybody particular? I know if we beat Seattle and the Bucs lose this week, we're in (which would give us a week to rest some guys and get Hunt back).

If we make the playoffs I want another shot versus the 49ers at home. Our defense had Purdy figured out and if we stick with the run next time we'd have a good chance to win or at the very least not embarrass ourselves. I wanna see Moehrig and the rest of the defense get their get back against Juan Jennings. 

I know for sure though that the 1 team I don't wanna play against in the wild card is the Rams. I know we beat them, but it took a lot of luck and mistakes on their part, and I don't think we'd get that lucky again.

I would love that as well, but mannn, them refs be showing out for the blue blood teams in the playoffs.  That playoff game against the Niners in 2013 was the worst officiated game I ever witnessed outside of SB50 and the season opener in 2016.

goofing around on the ESPN playoff simulator, there's a really odd scenario that would put the Seahawks as the 5th seed (49ers in first).

Whoever finishes second in the west. Unfortunately I think it's going to be the rams. Would much prefer the Seahawks or niners

Our ideal scenario actually involves us losing to Seattle for our easiest path.

Bears win out 

Rams lose to the falcons

49ers beat the Seahawks 

 

That puts us vs the 49ers and then a win would likely take us to Chicago to play the bears in the divisional. Those are the two teams in the playoffs the Panthers have a shot against.
