Corral was simply rated much higher, and that's not revisionist history. Comparing Bryce and Stroud, and even X and Ladd to Corral and Willis seems like more of an apples to oranges comparison in my opinion. That being said, Willis likely would've flopped here, just like Corral did. Hell, Stroud may not be the QB he is either (but that's an interesting aside to ponder). The thing with X and Ladd was we went for upside and RAS over definitive route running...which was stupid IMO, but several teams skipped the smallish, unassuming white guy, notwithstanding his expert route running...

I don't think he was rated higher at all. I remember plenty of guys saying Willis was a first round talent.

Where are the rankings that had Corral rated much higher than Willis? I don't recall that at all.

Corral didn't flop here, he flopped period. He was a 3rd round pick who never suited up for an NFL regular season game. That's abysmal.

Rated #'s are made up and just accepted by the experts (people paid to talk about this stuff with zero accountability). Doesn't really matter except the in house grades.

That was also not a good draft to need a QB. Corral was terrible by every definition.

Fitt had a first round grade on him 😳

Fitterer was the worst talent evaluator and GM I've ever seen. He destroyed what little talent this team had and added absolutely nothing to it. If I ever see that tool in person it will take everything in me not to punch him in the face repeatedly.

It should be an easy decision. Trade Bryce, sign Willis to a 3 year contract (at worst he’s a top tier backup), sign an additional experienced QB and draft a developmental toolsy project late in the draft. If Willis doesn’t work out you draft a QB early in 2027.

Don't forget about those trades he made based on "draft value"

I didn't watch the game but apparently Willis made himself some money yesterday

    • Not sure how much he was a long term piece of this team.   Sucks to not have him as part of the rotation.   Looks like it's Lee Hunter time.
    • This post was an error. Oops and sorry for the errors in the previous one. Too slow to edit.   We’ll see what they do.
    • I am not sure he will put the over the games but we’ll probably have them.   Two things I am thinking.  We have 4 preseason games.  All the coaches have enough service time to know the standards that are in place for decades. If I recall it was play your starters just a series to start woth and build it up until week theee where play a lot and you have week four to set hour roster. Evaluate before cuts.   Bevell will certainly have the whole thing down pat.   I’d they don’t do the fries and frie air will worry too. Because it is set up to do that.     I have said since they went t three preseason people have to figure a new way are still feeling it out and trying things.  We don’t have to this year.
