Evero was one of Morris' guys in LAR (just one year) so we do have a personnel and plenty of players he's familiar with.

But for people who aren't fans of what we've been doing philosophically, then you probably don't want him.

I think they hire Joe Brady. Idk why but can totally see it.

I think that is a good prediction.

Couple of things to consider. If they fired gm Terry Fontenot as well, then it means an entire new regime. They don't have a 1st round pick either. QB is a real question, especially with a new administration coming in. They will have to lean on their defense which did have a good year overall.

The defense has gotten alot better keeping the same philosophy but in better hands is a win win. Just need to add a few finishing pieces

Morris is a lot more aggressive than Evero though and will actually run man coverage.

Gus Bradley is also a candidate, knowing Dave and Dan from Seattle. Leslie Frazier also has Seattle and Buffalo connections.

But really I think if Evero left they would just promote Todd Wash.

True, Evero's thing has been Cover 2 and 3 heavy.

Playcalling wise, more simulated pressures than actual blitzes.  Tends not to offer many real well-timed blitzes when they do happen.

I think he's a good coach, came from a few great trees and seems to be a smart dude-- but as a playcaller, I find a lot to be desired.

I feel bad for Morris.  He seems like a genuinely good guy and his players are to love him.  But, some decisions are hard to justify - like starting Penix over Cousins and it essentially costing them the season.  All that being said - I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE HIM AD OUR DC.  He’s a great one.

Raheem Morris is the only coach in like a decade to get the Panthers into the playoffs and they fired him for it. Best coach we have had around here since John Fox. What a shame.

four game win streak to end the season and send the Carolina Panthers to the playoffs and NFC South division

and also weakening the falcons draft positions simultaneously

    • Not sure there is anything that will do that outside of Young actually being a legit top 12 QB. Where he won’t need excuses made for him.  It is just as likely to multiply them.
    • When has it not?     Also, when these starters play physical defense and turn that into transition offense, this team is downright scary.     that felt weird to type.
