"Speculation around the league" that we've reached out to John Harbaugh

Quote
FOX Sports’ Ralph Vacchiano reports that nine teams have contacted former Ravens head coach John Harbaugh about vacant and occupied head-coaching roles.

Among the nine, only six teams actually have head-coaching vacancies at this time. The six teams in reference are the Giants, Titans, Falcons, Raiders, Browns and Cardinals. Regarding the remaining three, according to Vacchiano, “speculation around the league seems to have centered” on the Dolphins, Packers and Panthers. Last we heard, “signs continue to point towards Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel returning next season.” Packers head coach Matt LaFleur is preparing his team for their third straight trip to the postseason, but “there has been an eerie feeling around the league that he might need to win a first-round game to be completely safe.” The Panthers are widely viewed as this year’s weakest playoff team, and owner David Tepper “is always a threat to swing again.” The Buccaneers were also thought to be in the mix before it was made known that head coach Todd Bowles is keeping his job for 2026.

I can see the thought process behind the speculation but Harbaugh doesn't seem much like a Tepper head coach, especially after Frank Reich.

He's more likely to sign Chris Foerster(Dolphins former staff coach that was seen snorting cocaine on video while in the facility) after he says he has cleaned up and is now super religious. That's more of a Tepper hire.

Dave’s earned his spot here.

Despite my criticisms of Canales, many of which have been warranted, I've been a supporter of giving him a real chance to build something here (with his own hand picked QB) and I do think 8 wins despite our QB limitations and defensive roster limitations has been an overall impressive season.

That said, Harbaugh is an all time great, elite, proven consistent winner and SB champion HC. I say sorry to Dave in a damn heartbeat if Harbaugh would be willing to come here. I can't imagine he'd choose us, however. Reported that 9 have reached out but I bet there's 15 teams league wide who would make him an offer ultimately, and I doubt we'd beat them all out for his services.

guys Morgan and Canales will be with team for awhile.  They are building.  Canales is learning.  Tepper wants a core for the future not another temp.  Harbough wants to win a SB, doesnt want another project team.  Panthers being mentioned in the Harbough rumor is a way to distract the team so Vegas can plop all their money on the Rams

I wouldn't call him an all time great or elite.

Hes 11 of current coaches in win %.

Id take him in a heartbeat but just some perspective. I wouldn't be fire Canales willy nilly but if for some reason John wanted to live in Charlotte that would be cool.  Canales is currently limiting this team with Bryce.
