If we bring back Evero, Canales remains OC and BY remains the QB….

it means we aren’t going nowhere.  And odds are the ball won’t  bounce our way so much in close games next year.   Just not how that works.

Everyone of them will be replaced next season.

Also with a super tough schedule. It's the most brutal schedule I can remember lol

Ickey is done for 2026, and possibly into 2027, and its entirely possible hes never the same.

LT just became a huge hole.

OT is very viable option at #19. No real elite studs, but a few very solid guys.  We may have to go offense again this year in round 1.  If only the freaking Saints could have taken care of the Falcons. People are also forgetting that Horn sustained yet another concussion too.  Top CB sustains another concussion and franchise LT lost for at least a year, possibly longer or forever.  Backdoored into the playoffs, dropping 5 draft slots where we could have gotten an edge rusher of LB. For what a moral victory because we lost a close game?

All for moral victory because we lost a close game in the playoffs?  Our record is exactly the same as if we would have missed the playoffs.  Crazy.

Here’s the thing: the Panthers could give other teams permission to interview Evero for HC positions. Since he is under contract, if he gets one of those, the Panthers get big time comp picks.

Who's gonna watch that game last night and think "that's who we want running our organization"

Honestly the edges on offense and defense, if someone drops it needs to be edge rusher or T, I todays nfl their are no true shutdown corners, anther mike jackson type would suffice with a pass rush.

This is what I’m thinking too. Using that rule to their advantage.

Sucks for Icky

The season is not looking optimistic, thats for sure

Sucks for Ickey, I do think whoever that was filling in for him did a decent job, but that’s a tough one for Ickey.  I am not mad at retaining Evero.  Yes I wish he didn’t run prevent on the last series but all D coordinator do it.  What he did this year with the players he was given was fantastic in my opinion.  Get him some players this year and I think he can have this D humming next year.

    • I believe Lloyd will elevate not just the whole unit, but also whoever his running mate is. Wallace is still very young, I think he's only 23 with two years of exp now. Cherelus can handle starting, he's just fighting with staying healthy. Kuwatch I think is going to be a contender after a couple week of understanding the system.  I mean Lee will be against..... what nearly 10 NFL-level WRs, he's going to get work and its up to him if he can hang.  I think its fair to expect 12th +/- 3 or 4 spots.  You know this, it boils down to how healthy everyone stays.....cause if dbrown, horn, Lloyd, Michael Jackson, or tervon miss extended time.....no way 10th can be reached. IF all the names above remain haethly, I do think 10th should be the goal. They are a young unit and added talent to a 16th ranked unit. Its time to march forward!!
    • Varying degrees all around but it starts at the top. That is where the buck stops. It has been 8 years of stupid, long before Morgan came back. Or Tillis was hired. Made it to the top of stupid mountain in 2023. Stayed in stupid limbo for a while, now we are prepping to scale the next mountain. In this case, I like those guys’ roster building better than what we have had so I am okay with them as our current pawns in the game of Bryce.
    • Don't let me gas him up too much, but I hear this and that...... I seen a wide body man with a quick burst, that's able to shed blocks and if extends his long arms its over. He tore up the OL in the senior, you seen about 10 plays and the dog walking OLman. There's other plays of him doing the same, just have to deal with fetus talking over the plays. Plus there's this-  https://x.com/PFF_College/status/2018385471068332410?lang=en     I hope he's ready, cause Id like to see him starting and doing his thang with dbrown, nic, and Phillips.
