It's crazy how much I've heard about his size and speed. I've never seen him play like he has size and I've never seen him show breakaway speed. He looks as average as it gets for an NFL WR when it comes time to run a route and carry the ball.

Watching him do drills and run routes is impressive. When he’s on the field it disappears, looks like Funchess. Always runs super stiff and his hands have like a 1/2 second delay from his eyes. If he could ever figure it out he would be great. Morgan did mention that he thought it may take him a while to develop since it took him a while in college. Maybe they are just being patient.

I mean I can see it, but I've never had a bias towards him.  Better QB play and we probably would see better results from him.

The Panthers still have a spot for Legette in the lineup when they play three-wide sets, but he has fallen behind Tetairoa McMillan and Jalen Coker in terms of priorities and production for Carolina. And there's no reason why GM Dan Morgan would keep that spot open if the Panthers can find an upgrade this offseason. Legette is owed $4.4 million over the next two years, all of which is guaranteed, and he has a potential fifth-year option in 2028 that would come up for a decision after the 2026 season.

Carolina was willing to give up on Mingo, a top-40 pick, after only 24 games when the right trade offer emerged. I suspect it would be similar for Legette this offseason.

As much as I want him gone i think we need to give him 1 more year. The coaching staff need to take a new approach with teaching him the fundamentals though

Absolutely. If we are talking about a 20 year old youngster.

He's a grown-ass man, and he doesn't know what his job entails or how to do it?

Maybe he will be better next year!

It's the Panther way.

There are multiple plays where he runs past coverage or takes the top off a defense and our QB cannot or will not make the throw. Its like the play in Atlanta never happened at all. He runs right past the CB with speed and catches a well thrown ball. I have seen several fans on other platforms say he would eat with a QB like Cam. Cam isn't our QB anymore and XL and Bryce aren't on the same page. Maybe you do move on, but acting like a kid is a bust when your QB is turning in 54 yard passing games and your coach has to augment a huge chunk of his playbook to accommodate the QB's limitations is weird to me. People got their panties in a bunch because they don't have evidence of XL spending 14 hours a day on football. Hell, even Luke went fishing. And the social media stuff is a generational thing. TMAC has an active social media account. I think its lame, but a person could do both.

This is the biggest issue with drafting athletes vs actual football players. The NFL combine has just exploded in media attention and popularity so everyone is hyped on a players traits. Who cares how big you are or how fast you run if you don't have the ball in your hands. Anthony Richardson is the perfect example of this.

Might be just me, he can't do 2 things at once. When does catch the ball or attempt to his legs quit working and he falls down or goes out of bounds without getting his feet in.

Lol. Yeah.

First of all, some people here had it in for him because they wanted McConkey. They were down on him from the start. As soon as he falls short they got their knives out. Don’t y’all deny it.

But he has given them ammunition with his miscues, good lord not making that catch in Philedelphia for the TD got him fried.

I think some of that got nasty because Bryce defenders need to place blame elsewhere. Talk down about his weapons. There is just bias against him from different factions. Different quarters.

He isn’t helping himself much either, there was no real redemption on the field. Not of the magnitude he needed to produce. At the same time he has for sure been open and I ha en’t seen them use him the way I thought they were going to. So I don’t know what to think think about it really.

My thing is, we have a HC and OC that has their foundation built on WR coaching. That morphed into QB coaching and whispering, if you will. But these fugers know WRs, supposedly. I don’t know how much they have worked with him. I don’t know how much extra he has put in either. I do suspect Bryce Young has gotten most of their attention and they haven’t put XL as a priority project.

Young needed the attention, I get that. I’d like to see them take him on as a real priority before giving up on him. Where we are now is he got his notice that he isn’t good enough. Need to see if that got through to him, maybe he bears down and focuses.

Or maybe he can’t. I can’t defend his shitty play but I do see flashes of a guy that could be an asset and I would just like the staff to take one good last swing at bringing it out of him before they give up.
