I liked Sam. He had issues here but improved given shitty circumstances and always had a good attitude. There was no reason not to resign him at the price he was at then.

Had to check to see what kind of material he had to work with........ yes, there was a guy called DJ something..... but that was about it.  Also, he had to run for his life.... a lot!!  (and his decision making was a "bit" iffy).  Happy for him now though.  Glad they took out the team that shouldn't have been there in the first place

Yeah, I don't think Darnold would've become what he is without going to SF, but he still could've been solid here.

I liked Sam with us, but let's be real - dude has needed a great oline, elite receivers, and very good OCs to look good. He wasn't getting that with us while we had him
