I think this is a mute topic because Canales and Ejiro are not going anywhere unless Ejiro gets that job with the Raiders (which looks like they are leaning offensive minded.)

That said, this coming season will be a make it or Break it year for Canales. He will either need to get this team to a winning record or else I can see him out.

Both Tomlin and McDermott will both be available because I believe both will take a year off and evaluate teams through out the season.

Uh, guys with McDermotts record dont go back down a step. He'll have his pick of jobs. Josh Allen or not.

Cardinals, Browns, and Raiders.....take your pick 😆

Looks like the Cards might be getting Mike LeFleur and the Raiders are wanting Klint Kubiak.  I've got nothing on the Browns...

Browns need to either hire an actual hamster and base their decisions on what squares he runs to on a tiny hamster sized grid, or, crowdsource the job.

Instead of paying a coach, people pay you and get to vote on game plans, practice schedules, and for both the offense and defense play calls each week.

Or...they could contact EA and make an AI head coach using the "Ask Madden" function from the games.

Thats the best they can hope for.

If he's gonna wait until next year's hiring cycle to jump back in the mix then he's probably going to take one of those advisor roles on a staff similar to what we have with Dom Capers. Basically just a mind to pick. The thing is that I don't think there's any connections to McD with our current staff. We'd be much more likely to reach out to Pete Carroll for that type of role which honestly I think we should.

It would have to be a pretty rough season for Dave Canales to get dismissed and have Sean McDermott come in. Not out of the realm of possibility, but obviously I'd prefer doing well again next season.

If you're frustrated with Evero's zone scheme and playing too soft of coverage, wait until you watch actual tape of Sean's defense.

The thing is, outside of Horn, you don’t want our players playing man right now. We just don’t have the roster for it yet.

Again? We had yet another losing season and fortunately backed into the playoffs because the whole division was bad.

    • Even if he beats the odds, returns midseason  and plays like he did last year it won’t warrant a big contract extension.
    • It’ll be interesting to see how the board falls I completely agree with you on TE for us The safety from Oregon would be the cherry on top for Evero’s defense/scheme.  If a OL’men is there that you love it would be very hard to pass up. This fan base seems to just see Walker as a stop gap but I wouldn’t be so sure. He’s the same age as Ekwonu. He’s had a much more impressive career arc/progression than Icky has. He’s the better pass protector. As far as I see it if Walker has a good year I’d bring him back over Icky. Ekwonu isn’t some elite franchise LT. Playing next to Lewis is going to be great for Walker much like it has been for Icky. We definitely need to get younger/cheaper on the OL though so for this reason alone it’s still top of my list come round 1 if board falls this way  Could also use another corner with Mike Jackson’s deal up after this season and needing a nickel but Corey Thornton looked really good in that role in the limited time we got to see him. However he’s coming off an achillies injury and you never know with those.  Then as mentioned above we do still have a need at WR. As far as “weapons” go it’s kind of a 2 man show with Tmac and Coker and neither is a burner. If Jordan Tyson is there at 19 and we can have a young WR group locked up for cheap that’s a huge advantage cap wise  And don’t forget linebacker. That clip in Devin’s Lloyd blueprint they used from Evero saying they need more intelligence there could’ve been left out for Wallace’s sake but it’s true. Wallace is lost in coverage. Pair a smart linebacker with Lloyd and that’s a group with Wallace and Cherelus being depth
