That's why I said relatively. The Bills need someone who can catch and DJ can do that. How much he gets to play with said injury and how well are the questions. Still, for a 2nd rounder, they know what they got instead of firing a shot in the dark and potentially getting a Mingo or TMJ.

I saw that between him and DJ the Bears saved 31.5 mil in cap. I was sort of thinking DJ might end up in Seattle with Darnold but they got him out of the conference.

Re Edward’s, the more in the pool the merrier.  

Also I said somewhere that DJ was still productive last year. I don’t follow the Bears really. I probably checked in for his best game and assumed. Under 700 yards. Got 1300+ yards Fields’ last year, 1000+ Williams’ rookie year, and now I am remembering that he advocated for Fields. Lol. 

Makes me think Williams and him probably never warmed up to each other and he is better off now than he has been in a while.

Raiders looking to release Geno Smith?   Not looking to replace Bryce, but we could use a decent backup vs Andy's recent performances.   (Not saying Geno would take a backup role, just thinking out loud)

The problem is he's not much better than Andy at this point in his career.

Kind of surprised the Raiders are releasing Geno. I'm guessing they are going to throw Mendoza out there week 1 and probably end up killing his career by the start of 2027...

At this point, I think we need to be looking beyond backups. Bryce hasn't even proven he's worthy of being a weekly starter. It's time to start looking for another potential QB1. Bryce needs to be pushed. The Panthers need to explore future possibilities who could potentially take the reigns when/if Bryce has another meh season. Geno doesn't fall into that category anymore.

Absolutely. He just turned 27 a few days ago, so quite young. He and Moehrig would be quite the pairing. 

I know we say this every year, but this FA period has A LOT of talent that will be switching uniforms. We were aggressive last year and have no doubt this time next week will have some studs on defense.
