Lloyd is best at the will  LB.  We need a Mike. iMO

His best season was playing Mike. His first 2 seasons were at Will and that's when he had the reputation of not panning out.

Good catch.  I read a dated review  (He used to be a hybrid /will) but when I checked the source, 2023).  This is (to me) encouraging because it allows us to go after a player like Golday (Cinn) who can play both, but is known for his WLB play. Harold Perkins is another name. This  is good because I have heard "He was in a contract year" but scheme and position responsibility is very important.  I am more excited about this now--

Yep and going back to college he had 8 sacks his last year  to boot. He has a good skillet if played properly!!

We do have two years to get these tackles. I would save room for after we get solid intel on Icky’s prospects.
In my mind, depending on what falls to us, the guy we take this year, if he isn’t great at LOT,  can pencil into ROT for 2027 if Moton is not in the picture.

And we can take another swing at LOT next year.

I'd honestly plan for Ekwonu to be a LG moving forward.

Try to find his replacement asap.

I'm sure he could play LG, but Hunt is still here. You save 14 million in salary if you move on from him after 2026 season, but no reason you wouldn't think that Icky would want or command more than that on the open Market so would be a wash to me really.

I think that would be a good fit. Lewis has a higher upside than Hunt. I think if Hunts contract gets too heavy, this would be a good option.

Wow

Dan Morgan is pulling out ALL of the stops this off season. Evero is fresh outta excuses now lol

How the fug are they affording this? Are we going to have to restructure or cut like 7 different players?

Pick 19 is looking like a total BPA right now.

I've been wondering this myself. That's a lot of cheddar out there for two players so far. And Pickett now, too (although that's a drop in the bucket comparatively).

It will take a lot of restructuring to get this done. Maybe there's enough desire for people on the team to stay that this is going to be a possibility.

There's a good vibe happening now. But sometimes the ground vibrates right before a cave-in.

I've been saying in every free agent thread that y'all worry too much about finances. We've watched teams with "no cap space" sign marquee players for years while we were signing Rozebums. Leave it to the spreadsheet nerds that the team employees, it'll be fine.

No cap space allowed us to get Phillips and Lloyd as their former teams couldn't afford them.  The cap is real and has to be managed or you lose talent.  That said both these signings are awesome
