Best I got is AJ brown directs some some of "QB hate" from hurts to the rusty rifle...

I mean did philly also take his salary too?? He had like 2.25 in guarantees and if so that lowers his cap increases his cap relief from 100,000 to 4,000,000+. That was a big issue from a release standpoint, 4 mill in cap space... I believe he also has around 2 mill in dead cap, but still better than 100,000 total..

I would assume we eat most of his contract and take on the cap hit.

Good luck to Andy, thanks for making this place home for a while. There were quite a few moments there and one incredible game. And however Bryce turns out, it was good to have a vet here to help bring him along.

We need to see how that plays out before handing out the props. 2027 7th for 4 million in 2026 cap space seems like a great deal for Panthers if that's the case.

4-8(incentives) million is the going bottom rate for backup QBs, I think Dalton was right there in the 4 range.

Well bonus, BY no longer wearing Huggies now....(just holding Pickett's ting hand now..)

Probably nothing. We basically bought their 7th round pick in 2027.

We bought a pick?  It was money already spent.  We acquire a pick for a QB that was probably looking at retirement.

I’m not talking literally bought it. But when it’s all said and done that’s pretty much what we did.

Can't believe we got anything for him

The front office continues to make intelligent decisions:

If they would have cut Andy, Panthers would have saved $150K in cap space

If they traded Andy, for anything even for a pick swap, Panthers save $2.1 in cap space

we just received a '27 7th rounder and saved $2 million for a player we didn't need anymore

This is my question and approach as well.

It seems great to get anything for Andy. If we ate his salary for Philly, it's more "meh" for me. I'm sure it lands somewhere in the middle but if we got a 7th AND Philly pays him, big dub for Dan and Brandt.

    • Two things: 1. Dr. Eric Eager is central to the draft process 2. I know that it was edited, but we didn't hear "Thieneman" one time, not even before the Vikings pick.
    • Why would he sign here as a guard when surely someone would sign him as a tackle?  Assuming he is healthy
    • Went back to watching the highlights. With a sober mind haha. Here is what I saw.    freddie needs to make 1 of those but the rest aren’t on him.    Slavin was BBBBAAAD again last night. Not sure what is going on with these game one Slavin gafs.    miller was ok but had his worst game in the playoffs so far.    nikishin was no good. His his awful turnover led to the first goal at the end of the first period that just can’t happen. ghost was beat like a drum multiple times last night, including the go-ahead goal at the end jarivs wont shoot. He is either hurt or he is struggling mentally and I think it could be a combination of both. He passed up a wide open net on the power-play only to pass it to no one and cleared it himself.     Svech played well. He is getting zero help on that line.    aho. Worst game as a pro. I mean that. He won’t shoot it, passes go to no one and turns it over repeatedly.  He did exactly what they did against Montreal game one when Miller had a turnover. Aho left his man to go help and left the golden Knight player wide open in front of Freddie.  If I was Rod, you Tell Aho when that thing hits your stick you fire it  someone needs to sit him down just him in a room and ask what’s going on. He seems soft, timid and has zero fire.   canes could have won that game   There isn’t a gap between these two teams  they are dead even   Carter Hart’s gonna get lit up in this series. We can beat that guy. the consensus last night was our defense played horrible and our stars won’t score.  clean the defense up. Tell the top line to shoot it everything and we’ll win tomorrow night.   Possibly convincingly.
