The Carolina Huddle

I've waited to post this for a while now.  I didn't want to interfere with the Draft.  Since we have a couple of weeks until OTAs I thought I would post this.

I have been a member of this forum for a long time, early 2005 I think.  I originally was Davethepanther before they rebooted this forum and I had to add the year 2008. What I love about this forum is that no matter what time of year it is, we have content to discuss.  I don't know how many of you have visited other NFL team forums but IMO none of them come close to the Huddle.  I have been to some other teams forums, NOT ALL, but enough to see that we have more active topics that most forums.

We have lost so many great posters but have also added many.  Conversations have changed a bit and less conversation and more I'm right and you're wrong. However, in the end we still are better than most forums I have visited and honestly it isn't close.

Just remember that none of us are experts.  Some think so but in the end we are all just fans.  At times things get heated but when you make your post remember it is just an opinion, you're not right nor are you wrong. It's just an opinion.

That said, I am making this post to remind you that you are a part of one of the best sports forums on the Net. We all should be grateful that we have a place that we can come to anytime of the year and talk Carolina Panther football.

I am just glad it is still around and hasn't been shutdown like a lot of other forums.

It says I joined in 2019, but I used to go on the other forums when it was connected to panthers.com, I may have switched names at some point.

Ive been here for 20 years as well. Gone by many different names. It used to be way better and a lot more interesting, but still fun to check in every so often.

Those that I have seen may have one or two active topics and only one or two post that day.  It's amazing how we can have 10 or more post active any time of the year.

Hopefully Huddle forum can have get togethers again like we did before Roaring Riot.  Dont get me wrong, Roaring Riot is great but its massive now.  Much harder to connect with huddlers.  Buffalo Turds at the Huddle  Tail Gate, those were good times.  Pretty sure someone lost their virginity at a Huddle tailgate. lol.

As most of you should know by now, I am @top dawg. I haven't been able to use my old profile because I forgot my password, and for more than a year now, the site won't send a recovery email. In any event, I have been here circa 2003. That should tell you what I think about the place. It has been somewhat neglected since the Tepper Era began, but thankfully the basics still function because I would really miss interacting with some of you hardheads. There is no substitute, and, yes, I've looked, and this is the most active and enduring sports message board that I've come across. If you ever don't see me for months on end, I'm either demented or dead (probably the latter). There have been enough departed old heads from this place for whatever reasons, but you old ones and you youngins can count on me to bring the fire as long as this place is around...or until I am permabanned...(That's a tribute to our old friend in case you didn't know).

Seriously man…I got neg rep bombed for saying Rivera actually wasn’t a great coach but had elite key players. Crazy that place thinks he’s the one of the best HCs of all time for some reason. Literally everyone thought that.

I chalk it up to most being new fans not only of panthers but football in general. Whereas the huddle are some old asses like me.

I’ve been a huddler since the beginning and am old AF now. For one of the worst teams in the NFL the huddle is legit, even if less so today. Only forums better are successful franchises.
