He is far and away the best QB prospect available and the most underrated free agent.

I love all the revisionist history around here about Matt Moore. Tons of people are excited about him now because other people are starting to sniff around him like he's a big shot and many are clamoring over him like they never left his side during that abysmal year he put up last season.

How about a little consistency? A lot of you folks didn't even want him when he was here and now you're butt hurt that he's going to be leaving potentially?

Fwiw, the offense around Moore in the few games he played last year was pretty horrible. Except for Smith, the receivers were rookies, the offensive line played poorly and the run game was completely ineffective. I think that losing Moose had much more of an impact on Moore's play than most realize.

Not saying he is going to be a great QB, but I certainly wouldn't judge him based on the 5-6 games from last season alone.

Only in the Huddle the grass is always greener on the other side. Moore couldn't beat out a rookie QB on one of the worst offenses in NFL history - need I say more. Moore looked absolutely horrible last year and looked more scared than Clausen.

I wish him the best and he has a really cool story, but the fact of the matter is he had his chance and didn't capitalize. He even had a second and third chance when Clausen was struggling and still couldn't get it going.

Matt has some flashy stats, but he couldn't handle the pressure of being the week 1 starter.

You are right - 6 starts last year with 5 tds and 12 turnovers is not good. The games he won in 2009 were meaningless and clearly couldn't handle the pressure when the games counted.

Yep. And he admitted as much. I would still love to see him start a games this year to see which Moore is going to show up.

I've been a Moore hater all offseason, but he is still a better prospect than Kolb. That's more an indication of my opinion of Kolb than Moore, I've been flabbergasted over the attention Kolb has received.
agreed...moore = kolb...and that isn't necessarily a compliment as i think kolb is massively overrated. system in philly makes for some pretty stats, but doesn't necessarily equal out to QB talent.

i think moore is a fine option as a backup QB. having him as a full time starter/franchise QB is a stretch. that is where some team is going to be getting into trouble with kolb.

i'm not interested/curious enough in seeing how either moore or clausen do to bypass newton getting the start if newton has a solid grasp of the playbook.

lots of QBs lay eggs on occassion.....are we certain that game @ NY wasn't just that? I am not certain. I don't think he is a great QB but I don't think week 1 defines him as a NFL QB (even as when labled the starter). Not a big enough body of work to let that define him and he has done too much good in multiple seasons for that.
