I literally got mad at Cam when he didn't slide.  Hope this teaches him a lesson without hurting the team.

 

I prefer the way Cam goes down to sliding.

There was a statistic last year that said sliding leads to more injuries than diving forward or to the side.

Exactly.

 

A guy with legs as long as Cam's?  Sliding itself could CAUSE the injury.  Not to mention that it puts his legs in front where the defense is looking to take a shot.

 

The way he goes down basically puts his shoulder pads and helmet towards any potential blow.  I fail to see anything that is wrong with that.  On top of the fact that it is more comfortable FOR HIM to do it that way.

I hope the starting oline has another game together, they looked good against KC and not so good against NE with turner and chandler out. They need to come together quickly

That's it. If he find it more comfortable then it's probably the safest option. I had a friend that played soccer and got his knee stuck in the grass when he went for a slide tackle (pretty much the same motion as a QB sliding in the NFL) and it popped his hip out which in turn fractured his spine. Pretty much ended his ability to run in comfort.

No way Cam plays this week. And that's not a good thing. But you seriously can't risk further injury. We go as he goes.

If Cam starts sliding....the penalty won't be worth him having his bell rung. As much as he runs and as tall as he is....it opens up his upper body for some brutal hits IMO
