Stephen Hill for a late conditional pick?

Suspect hands. Still a project after a couple of years. Not able to bring it as the expected WR1, and outproduced by Jeremy Kerley. IDK.

If G-man brings him in to supplant another WR, I will believe the kid is not the bust that his body of work says that he is (because G-man wouldn't do that unless he felt strongly that our guys can't get it done).

the QB's were terrible his rookie year and he had a terrible rookie QB last year.  i would not write him off as a bust yet

Slow day, ill do this again. I like WR talk.

We may have two 7th round picks pending the outcome of Barner. I would even send them a 6th.

Hill is only 23 years old and was raw coming out of college (King is 24) Jets threw him into the fire day 1 and made him their number 2 WR. He could come here and be our Ginn like WR from last year. Stick him in the slot and let him stretch the D, this kid can fly (4.28 at the combine). I've read he doesn't do well with physical corners so that's why I suggest the slot.

We should take advantage of having a guy like Ricky as our WR coach. Hill has all the physical tools and got by with pure athleticism in college. We have Cotchery and Avant as well, lets make use of these guys and take a chance on a guy like Hill. Won't be as much pressure on Hill here either, might be good for him. He was living under a microscope in NY.

    • It's not sustainable,  although he deserve credit for the win also, as he made clutch plays as he does with every win we have.
    • As much as I would love to sit here and bash on Young.  I can't.   He is absolutely a part of this team winning.  He is the cool hand leading the offense along with the hammer, Rico.  He's making plays on 3rd and 4th downs, that are absolutely helping thus team win.  Is Bryce playing as well as we'd like? Nope. Although he had only 1 week off from a high ankle sprain.   No question he was 100% in the Greenbay game.  I'm not even sure where the team would find a clear upgrade over Byrce.  He is a leader.  In the 4th quarter, he has ice in his veins.  He is a part of why our team is enjoyable to watch again.  Without him, we wouldn't be winning.    Anyways.  Y'all enjoy yet another thread designed to tear down the man.
    • Great article on all the Lil Canes attending their debutantes ball. Walt with a great breakdown of all the rookies, as always, and I'm a huge fan of his team coverage, he is truly a treasure, but as a fan of mixed metaphors and superfluous language which some might ignorantly refer to as a "run-on sentence" I never really understood what that mean or where to put the comma after a quote in the middle of a sentence, but holy poo Walt, this is a gem, "While there's a long road left in front of them left to determine whether or not they'll have that same success on the blue line again, the beginning stretch of the journey has been thrown a wrench, and the story on defense has been the emergence of up-and-comers forced into becoming lineup regulars." , bravo, take a bow, sir!
