The Answer is on the Roster

Yeah I heard the answer for LT was on the roster last year as well.   It's good to be optimistic but we need to also be realistic and get ready.  Stewart will get hurt, it's not a IF it's a WHEN at this point, hopefully it's only a few games.  We have question marks behind him.  We have question marks at LT.  Our two DT's and best DE are banged up, Funchess pulled a hammy, Tillman is another not IF  but WHEN injury as well.   We can still win this division, but as long as we're down talent and have Shula and Rivera as game-day coaches, we're going to get outsmarted and outclassed by better coached teams.    We can still be optimistic and hope people step up, but after the Bell/Chandler nonsense last year, we should curb our expectations.

We have a better WR core than last year at this time.  Ginn,Funchess,  Brown, Cotchery, Byrd, and Bersin are a legit unit.  He'll almost no team has two #1 WRs.  The Panthers were going to run the ball and play D anyway so long as we keep or D intact we are good.

Last big trade this team made was for Olsen back in the Hurney era. Don't think D.G has that mindset to do so. Maybe sign someone out there now or after cuts, but I doubt any big trades for players or draft picks. If he did it would be against the tendencies he has shown so far.

what kills me is funchess has a hammy strain now..he needs to be out there getting all the reps he can..what a sucky day yesterday ended up being..i still like our WR core with funchess, ginn, and brown..then you throw in cotch and bersin as posession type guys..it sucks losing KB but as long as Cam and the defense can stay healthy i think we can still be a good team..hope is not lost in my eyes

Let's not lie to ourselves. Our offense wasn't torching people with KB last year. Stewart can not be relied on to play 16 games. But oh don't worry we still have Byrd Lee Ward Fozzy and Payne...Adding Funchess was suppose to add to the offense, subtract KB and adding in another unproven rookie will not get us over the hump.

Yes Ginn and a better Brown helps, but is this really gonna help us clash with the Seahawks pats and the real titans of the nfl? Doing nothing is as good as writing off the season. And that's adding in stew for 16 gms.

Before KB's injury I think we could have handily beat the Seahawks this year. If our team had it's sht together. Now, playing them will be really difficult. Same as games with them previously.

Boykin will have his uses in the redzone. He's no KB but he can be a mismatch. So can Lucas at TE.

If a few guys can step up we can be okay.

    • As the demand for apartments grows parking is becoming limited and it’s sad. I use to tailgate but I just park at uncc deck now and train in and head to rhino market. My tailgate grill hates me.
    • It simply depends on perspective. CMC, when healthy and on the field, has a higher YPC and YPR than LT. Yes, he's been injury prone, but this is simply a "all quarter-century team." There are certainly different stats and different lists. If this were a list or about a team simply based on longevity, then of course LT wins that every time, but some lists are more subjective and nuanced depending upon what they are, and it's not necessarily a reflection upon a person's ability to analyze sports.
    • From my what I have seen the overwhelming majority of people who are considering the notion a possibility don't really want to see it happen but are considering so for a number of reasons. Most importantly availability. Secondly even when he plays the last few seasons he has been red hot or ice cold. Then there is the subject of his defense which to say the least leaves a lot to be desired. Then there is the image of Ball inactive laughing it up on the sideline (while our team was getting the doors blown off) with previous busts who are now relegated to hanging on by a thread in the g league. I think we should be able to recognize with the team going out of their way to put a very strong emphasis on culture and leadership with the conclusion of this years draft that they expect LaMelo to lead the way this upcoming season and that begins with making significant strides and trending in a positive direction in the aforementioned aspects above. It just has to happen.
