We have a better WR core than last year at this time.  Ginn,Funchess,  Brown, Cotchery, Byrd, and Bersin are a legit unit.  He'll almost no team has two #1 WRs.  The Panthers were going to run the ball and play D anyway so long as we keep or D intact we are good.

Any advice for them on the loss of Tillman? This concerns me. Already hurting at corner. Is the answer on the roster? lol!

McClain looked really good yesterday.  I'm not as worried as I normally would have been with this news re: Peanut.

We'll have to trust in our coaching on this one...Considering McClain was playing instead of Young...I think that says everything we need to know about our roster lol

Is it possible that McClain can be better than Peanut on a partially torn ACL? I think so. I love Peanut and what he brings and if he were healthy then obviously this would be a non-question, but I have to believe that a guy who (although not really experienced) is better suited to run, jump and cut. If nothing else maybe teams try to go at McClain and he rises to the occasion or our staff can use that to our advantage.

A hard nosed running attack with play action passing will not be competitive in the NFL today. A team needs a passing attack that can put up 14 points quickly through the air early or late in a game to be competitive with the best teams in the NFL.

The rules greatly favor an offense that passes more than 55% of the time with a spread formation and horizontal passing attack.

Personally, I do not like it, but those are the facts. There is a reason the traditional TE is no longer utilized on the successful teams, and the fullback position is dead.

Anybody shocked?

    • Lions were never going Freeling over Miller for the same reason we wouldn't have taken Miller had Freeling not been on the board. Miller is a career RT Lions have a hole at RT, we have a hole at LT. If we took Miller, it would have been for him to backup Moton until he retires and/or we release him, so the best case scenario is it would have been a wasted 1st round pick for at least 1, if not 2 years.  At least Freeling has a shot at playing this year without injury ahead of him, he absolutely can win the LT job if he earns it, but Miller would have never supplanted Moton this year unless he got hurt.
    • What up y’all. I like threads like this where we can stroll down memory lane. I remember the insane amount of site traffic pre-crash when we signed Keyshawn Johnson, 06 I believe. Raging about the Cowboys Christmas Eve loss in 05 (Peppers touched that FG attempt as sure as Cotchery caught it). When I found the huddle I basically had a first born baby, now I’ve got one in college and one in high school. Life comes at you fast, but the Panthers and the Huddle has been a steady constant in my life for many years.  Those who have been here, y’all are cool with me any time any where.    Cheers, genitals!
    • This is a weird post since it wasn’t like we got A’s across the board. We needed a QB and got a consensus top 2 player at that position. (I was pretty vocal that Stroud should’ve been the guy but…)  I think this draft we generally got better value. I’m not particularly optimistic on BY but another year in this offense playing with TMac he really needs to be a consistently average QB at a minimum
