They really didn't do their research re: the oline comment.  As far as Cam's solo act, GREG OLSEN says, "HI!"  I don't see us coming in anything below second in the NFCS, and we'll push Atlanta for first.

Favorite line:  Shula another ankle weight for Cam.  L. O. L.

He said outside of Kalil our O-line isn't that good, which is true. Since your bringing up pre season games Didn't Cam just get sacked around 3 times against a mediocre patriots pass rush.

The sad thing is where using pre season to validate how good our line is, when everyone knows damn well defensive coordinators are holding off in the pre season.

You mean the game where out pro bowl center didn't play.  And 2 of the three sacks came from that position?

People are acting like the last 2 seasons didn't happen...like the Panthers aren't 2 time defending NFC South Champs. People STILL questioning whether Cam can lead a team to the postseason, even though he's done it 2 years in a row - past the first round both times!

I don't get it. The media and most others are clueless. I'm not saying we will be world beaters, but come the fug on now...this is getting silly.

Cam got sacked twice, and that was without Kalil. The most important part of our O-Line. And halfway through folkerts (who already isnt the best backup) hurt his foot and was noticeably hindered by it. Which is when he gave up a sack. Dont remember the other.

Sure coordinators aren't going all out, but i promise the starters out there on the D-line are just as hungry to get to the QB and our line has been able to hold them off.

Defense still wins championships.

yep. what was the winning play of last year's superbowl? an INT. forget the fact that the Seahawks' OC called the dumbest play in football history, the Patriots still made a defensive play to secure themselves a championship. no sarcasm there.

at least people outside the Huddle are starting to catch on. maybe the Panthers front office will this season. im all for playing hard-nosed football based on time of possession and efficiency on offense, and defensive prowess. But, surely there is a coordinator that wont call go routes to slow receivers on 3rd & short, or make our #4 receiver (Bersin) our star QB's first read in a divisional playoff game.

its not that "1970's football" cant still work. It certainly can. the problem is that the man calling the plays in Carolina is a fugging dumbass that has no sense of situational awareness and no sense of unpredictablility. scream about lack of talent all you want. our GM has given Shula everything he needs to succeed and he still hasnt. and dont blame injuries this season either. just like a poor offensive line last year, a lack of talent at WR can be schemed around. and Shula seems incapable of adjusting his scheme to compensate for injuries or lack of talent.

make him QB coach again if you want him to remain with the organization. i dont care. just put someone competent at the OC position...
