Official Panthers - Jags Predictions Thread....

I foresee numerous plays in which we almost take it to the house but are taken down before pay dirt. Then Shula goes full Shula and we end up kicking 4 field goals in goal line situations. Defense scores a TD for us, Cam get's a blown coverage TD to Olsen.

Allen scores for them on a busted coverage from Norman in the secondary, but then Norman later recovers by making a ridiculous INT that he has no business doing. Final score is 26-10 Panthers.

Stewart has 102 rushing yards

CAP has 43

Cam has 30

I think with Star probably being out, CJ and Short coming back from injury, & Ealy being a new full-time starter at DE...I think our D-line will struggle and T.J. Yeldon will have a good game. (At least, that's what I'm telling myself to start him in FF)

Philly Brown redeems himself by having a decent game (50ish yards, 4 catches).

Ted Ginn, Olsen, and Funchess each score a TD and win the game for us.

Panthers 27 Jaguars 21

    • Bryce and Dave will determine how many games this team wins next year. It’s not on the WRs. The RBs. LBs. This is about 2 things: 1. Can Bryce continue to come up big in the few key downs that decide most games?  2. Can Canales evolve his play calling to counter punch like the big boys do. Half time adjustments.  teams that score 30+ points on the regular win more games than not. That’s on Bryce and Dave. The offense is top 10 at every position group, save for TE and QB. A baller TE is gravy but not crucial when the receivers are dudes.  The defense is the defense. It’ll be better this season, hopefully by a large margin, but Dave/Bryce is really where it’s at.
    • Normally I'd wholeheartedly agree with this. But I feel like teams figured out this offense after the Raiders game. Bryce was so inept the first 2 games that we couldn't really even run the offense. Dalton's first game showed what we had. But after that game, coverages got a lot tighter and windows were smaller. When Bryce came back in, his ability to extend plays made a big difference. It's really difficult to stop a QB that can beat/escape 1on1 tacklers. It puts a lot of pressure on the defense when you blitz. And he was completing throws in tight coverage with anticipation. Point being Bryce wasn't throwing to wide open receivers that were schemed open by the offense. Occasionally yes. But not often.
    • With the additions we've made to our roster combined with the state of the division and the conference as a whole there is no excuse for this team not to make a legitimate push for 8-9 wins. Anything less is honestly inexcusable. There will be no more free passes for being a doormat in this iteration of the league where even mediocre teams are competing for playoff spots.
