What Jags Fans Are Saying - Part 2

Every week during the season I like to give a little insight into what the fans of the opposing team's fans are thinking. Typically, I look for an independent fan site to pull information from. Apparently, the Jacksonville Jaguars don't have one. As such, I can only pull from the Jaguars official message board. 

 

Here are a few of my favorite quotes. 

I'll say....

JAGUARS   31

PANTHERS 21

 

JAGUARS 300 YARDS OFFENSE

YELDON BREAKS 100 YARDS

GRANT BREAKS A 30 PLUS YARD TD RUN.

 Apparently the Jags offense can drop 31 points on the Panthers defense.

No way we get 31 points against that defense. I'm gonna go with 20-13, Jags. 

 

It'll be close, and I think our offense will start fast and catch their defense off guard with an early TD. Our defense stops the pass, but they're having a really strong run game.

More realistic.

21-10 Panthers 

 

Bortles : 200 yards, 22/30.

D-Rob : 65 yards, 1 TD

A-Rob : 5 catch, 80 yards.

 

1 sack for Ryan Davis

1 sack for Michael Bennett

 Really close to my own prediction. 

and the best yet...

My updated prediction..
I have just completed a quick look at the "state of the panthers".
1. they appear to be "soft".
I found ZERO players I would call big hitters.
JAGS HAVE GUYS EVERYWHERE WHO WILL PUNISH THE OTHER TEAM ( see O'Dell Beckham from pre season)
2. the Panthers have what appears to be a strong front d line, but they also appear to have a very suspect defense behind the front 7.
WE WILL FIND A WAY TO GET OUR GUYS THE BALL BEHIND THEIR LINE.
(SEE GRANTS TD RUN,SEE ALL THE QUICK THROWS IN OUR PS OFFENSE SCHEME )
3. it appears our defense will match up well against their offense. the only question mark to me is can we stop their qb from making something from nothing.
I predict we smash him.
so therefore....
I PREDICT WE SMASH THE PANTHERS 
44 22 

 

Overall the Jags fan base seems almost non existent, at least online. Roaring Riot will be at the game Sunday with 500 Panthers fans. If the Panthers can win in a convincing fashion, be prepared to hear Lets Go Panthers chants on your televisions from Jacksonville.

Fan bases tend to be delusional at this time of year, but to think the Jags will hang 40+ on the Panthers is ridiculous. And I'm fairly certain most NFL offensive players wouldn't call TD or Luke soft; they're both fast, and hit like sledgehammers. Good luck, Jag-fan, you're gonna need it.

Damn.  They are in for a rude awakening.  Offensively we really dont know what to expect just yet......defensively. ...its gunna get ugly fast.  I predict shaq lays the wood on someone so hard yall will see ripples in the pool jurassic park style.

I'm watching there 3rd preseason game now and I can say with confidence that unless we shoot ourselves in the foot we will win by a large margin. Their run D is horrible and there oline can't run block.  We match up very well with the Jags.  I will say this positive though, if we let there QB sit in the pocket like DET did he will carve us up and run on us as well. Jax gets there points off of YAC and dink and dunk play.  Good tackling and pressure will destroy this offense.

PLEASE let them try that dunk and dunk quick pass offense. Like, TD and Shaq will make a mess of that with the sideline to sideline speed. Luke is literally with the receiver when the ball gets there in those plays.

The articles are not bad, but they've got virtually no comments...  at least SB Nation's inferior blog for the Panthers has great involvement and articles with hundreds of comments...
