the greatest player in our franchise history is one of the biggest trash talker and instigators of the last decade.

Carolina has an issue w/ off the field guys.  Clearly we don't have an issue with jerks on the field.

What did Finnegan do other than the Johnson fight?  Did he cheap shot a Panther like Harper?

From the mic'd up segment on the "fight" with Johnson I blame the ref's for letting it go that far and Johnson had some shots downfield and after the whistle also throughout that game.

If you rooted for Smitty for all those years, how could you not root for this guy? He's a hard nosed player who plays with intensity and a chip on his shoulder. I'm excited about this signing. Hopefully he's been working his ass off and staying in shape during his time away from the league.

As long as he is a noticeable upgrade over Jones and doesn't cause chemistry problems I couldn't care less about a fight he got into years ago with a Texans receiver. Harper got into a fight with one of the most beloved panthers of all time and we still cheer for him.
