Let's say the NFL takes action...

If the NFL does come through, I expect the officials to concede the 50-50 calls to the Panthers favor and also establish the tone early. That was the earlier problem against the Broncos, Roby and Miller had helmet to helmet hits on Cam that went uncalled, which lead to Brandon Marshall and  Stewart feeling comfortable with launching their helmets into Cam.

Cam getting the calls he should get as well as ones that he maybe shouldn't get that other star QBs get.

We get more 1st downs due to penalties that extend drives and thus score more points as a result and defenders become more timid about hitting him which leads to more escapes from the pocket.

Not really sure what else it could be.

I can't entertain it...I tried. Did Shaq start getting a correction once "Hack-a-Shaq" became part of common basketball language and obvious?

NFL won't change.  They arent going to impower complaints even if just.  Would force them to do that for all the just complaints (and there are many) and more guys would demand change.

NFL will draw the line that they missed calls and that happens it everyone

Our games in particular get called much tighter on RTP - both ways.  Increasing the number of calls Cam gets as well as the number the D get against them.

In the off-season in Brady-esque fashion a rule is changed to make RTP reviewable and Cam gets the reputation that Tommy Boy has had in that all he needs do is cry enough and the NFL will cook him up a rule.

Answering the question.  I don't think much happens.  I believe the refs will be instructed "in theory" to throw more flags on these hits but in the end.  We won't see any substantial changes.

I expect we will see a flag thrown every time there is a offensive foul has also been thrown.  I find it really odd that two of the calls he has had this here have been offset by offensive fouls.

Treat Cam as every other QB in the NFL is treated when he's acting as a passer. That's all I ask. No one is complaining about the hits he takes as a runner. Hell, no one is really even complaining about the hits themselves at all. Fouls occur in sports. What Cam (and Panthers fans) are complaining about are clearly illegal hits on Cam when he's acting as a passer that go unflagged.

    • I think the qualification has changed over time though. A deep ball play used to take 4 to 6 seconds for the receiver to get to that spot on the field. Now a receiver can be there in 2.5. That's less time than most QBs have to set and throw. In my mind a deep route takes time to develop. A crossing route and a deep route can't take the same amount of time at full speed. You can have 4 deep balls on the same drive,  almost 5 if you do 5 20 yard throws goal line to goal line. That doesn't even make sense when you say it out loud.
    • The sad part is it looks manicured enough that he's aware it's running away from him.  Also, I just wanted to give you some fun loving grief on King Haynes today having a chance to throw a game winning TD, and was wildly errant, and ultimately picked off to end the game.  So happy I won't have to hear anything else about The Golden Calf of Bristol lite ever again watching college football.
    • I just think Panthers believe in Bryce far more than the fans do and he is most likely going to be the QB at least the next two seasons. the real shot of us moving from Bryce is not getting an extension, till then they are going to give him every chance to succeed and I just want to win.
