Ive always thought Rivera’s blind  loyalty to his under qualified friends will cost him a job eventually

its not like its a coordinator position, the guy is probably going to watch film and help out,

Entry Level

You do got to get started somewhere,

If the defensive quality control coach is going to make/ break us then we're f*cked to begin with

More family being brought i to the coaching staff, Rivera this time.

Weird how the most qualified candidates are also relatives.

SUPERB OWL!

Ol' Tepper must be fine with nepotism... either that or the guys standing at the gallows are blowing it out on their last hurrah.

I would imagine a college scouting coordinator handles scheduling, travel, communication with college staff, hotels, air travel. It seems like a natural fit for Bergstrom. Just being around the organization, he will know and understand a lot of what is expected and I'm sure he asked for the position.

That's along lines of what I was thinking.

he certainly doesn't have enough of a scouting background to do something more significant.

    • tried to edit and add to my comment. Not wanting to bash on the kid, but him being physically limited have always been my personal issue. But I think he is still catching extra grief as a whole based on results and mismanagement so far in the Tepper years. Darnold and Mayfield have success elsewhere and the sting of the past 2 seasons burns that much more.  I'm hoping as well for him to be our version of Alex Smith, but I don't mind not being miserable in the process. I cant do poo about him being in the game, so I just hope for the best. I like what Canales is doing but he was saying in the offseason that they were building the offense around Bryce and the O would only go as far as he'd take them. I think they have pivoted recently with what Rico is doing but it's still built for Bryce and thats holding them back. As far as making playoffs, it's not that far off from possibility at the moment. We are a game and a half back on Tampa. Their next 3 games are Pats, Bills, Rams. Ours are Saints, Falcons, 49ers. 9ers are still a MASH unit at the moment. We just gotta get and stay healthy, but I like our chances in those next three and think Tampa will struggle.
    • Cowboys Eagles Falcons/Saints/Bucs in that order. was a huge Marino fan a kid (pre-Panthers) so have always hated the Pats
