Good.  Just as I predicted.

And furthermore, I suspect Kalil could've been ready to go in the first couple of weeks of the regular season, but I think this was Ron and Marty's way of softening the blow.

And, also not losing Ryan mentally/emotionally.

And to bring it home that they are giving him time to be "fully healthy," whatever that means in regards to Kalil at this point.  So there are no excuses if he can't perform.

What an awful, awful contract.  Moton becoming a franchise LT will be the only thing that can redeem this bad situation Gettleman left behind at this position

I think Moton can be the future at LT. If he can become a good left tackle then we will be set at LT and RT for a while. Cam has never had a stable, consistent offensive line his whole career. We could have three potential pro bowlers on our offensive line. Think about that. Offensive line has always been the weakness on offense, now we already have a top RT, pro bowl guard and depending on what Moton can become we could be set at tackle for a while.

the bad news is that although Motons preseason stats were good there were some other tackles who weren’t good who graded better, Zach Banned was one of those tackles. So I am holding my breath until regular season begins. Moton will have a tough opponent week one so we will see off the bat how good Moton is.

IF Moton flourishes, we resign williams, Turner is already tied up, then we draft a LG/C in 2nd round next year to either replace Ryan and let Larsen have one or the other spots. poo, gotta love addition by subtraction. Of course, if Amini can still walk, Rivera will find a way for him to start.

The complete ineptitude of all of this is appalling. Sure I’m happy we’ve potentially found a LT for the foreseeable future but why the fug has the coaching staff just now found out that Moton can hold it down. I already know the answer no need to respond.

same kinda staff that would draft a RB #8 and sign a 1k yard backup before giving the one they keep on the roster a shot.

    • Doubling tripling and quadrupling down on this subject in defense of the pick is reminiscent of a certain mindset that has overtaken the political world. This conversation will become less contentious and dragged out to the point of becoming a dead beaten horse if rational minds can simply agree that we made a mistake missed on a potential franchise center and we will learn from it. All this coping is unnecessary.
    • Here in lies the rub that the supporting posters continue to ignore. He wasn’t a 2nd round pick in the 2025 class, especially with an ACL tear. It was a dumb pick for any GM who looks ahead to determine values. C and CB were much better values than an injured RB in 2024. If a RB isn’t even playing much in 2024, you have to compare him to 2025. We’re beating a dead horse but only because the defense of the pick is almost comical at this point. We’ve made a ton of poo picks and moves/non trades while Morgan was GM and the assistant GM. It happens, we don’t have to jump through hoops to act like we just had some really bad luck. The 2025 draft class is unknown so far but damn it felt way better afterwards for the first time in a long time. Embrace the potential and stop stamping guaranteed on the box of poo of the 2018-2024 drafts. We are were we aware because of them and 2025 has to hit so we can get past the 7 win max in 7 year hurdle. Also, “flashed his talent” isn’t 9 carries for 22 yards. His one reception for 18 yards isn’t a flash with 11 other touches for 27 yards. He hasn’t proven anything. We have no idea if he’ll contribute in 2026.
    • Oh for those tired of the Mannings I have bad news, Peytons son Marshal already has college teams after him and he isn't even in HS until this fall...   I'd wager we have two Mannings in the NFL in 2030
