He’s a young black quarterback that isn’t humble enough for some folks. It’s that simple. They don’t like his dancing, his first down pointing, his trash talking, etc.

Humble to who? He is humble to who he needs to be humble to GOD. Forget the rest. Stay true to God and self. That' what I love about Cam. Kiss no one butt but just kicks it.

Ehh... the Panthers don't currently look like they are on the same level as the Rams or Saints, but they should be up there in the conversation for 2nd tier of NFC teams with the Vikings, Packers, Eagles, etc.

It's a long season... all the Panthers goals are still on the table almost halfway through the season, which is nice.

We are going to have to beat the Saints (maybe twice), but the division is still in reach.

We went 3-1 against the NFC East which will be huge for tiebreakers at the end of the year.

We have seen glimpses, but the offense has just scratched the surface of how good they can be.

The defense has not been dominant, but they haven't been awful either.  They have made some big stops in every game when they have had to, including the losses at Atlanta and Washington.

I just want to make the playoffs for the 5th time in 6 seasons as of now.  Of course I want to win the division (and ultimately the Super Bowl), but getting into the playoffs is the goal for now.

This season is starting to remind me of 2003 in some respects, especially the close wins.  That 2003 team was not anywhere close to the playoff version we now remember until the playoffs.  We started 5-0, then dropped 3 straight to go to 5-3, then won 3 more to go to 8-3, then lost another couple to be 8-5, and then won our final three to be 11-5 and enter the playoffs as the 3rd seed...

However, their was nothing dominant about the team really in the regular season.  The team certainly had a good defense, but even the defense had several stinkers, too.  The offense was every bit as hot and cold as this team is.  It was also a different era in terms of scoring and rules tilted to the offense, and while the Panthers got some pub for their close wins, the defense, and Cardiac Cats persona, nobody took them serious as a SB team when you looked at the other teams that year like the Eagles, Rams, or Green Bay

Point is, the Panthers are 4-2, just won a game with a crazy comeback against the defending SB champs, and still can be so much better.  Who cares what anyone thinks long-term at Week 7?

I don't know where this season ends up, but it has been fun so far.  At some point as a fan, you got to enjoy the journey.  I want to eventually see this team win a Super Bowl, but only one team does every year.  It's not being defeatist to enjoy close wins along the way.

The opposition doesn't like Cam because he brings the true feelings out of who he is and they don't like him because of what he does. If they don't want Cam to do these things then stop him from from advancing downfield and scoring. Cam should keep doing what he does best and annoy opposing teams to get them off their game.

It’s like the idiotic tweet registered republican and Trump supporter Joe Theisman sent out comparing Watson and Cam two weeks before the season kicked off. Littered with subtle racism. The only thing Cam and Deshawn (and I don’t mind Watson at all) is the color of their skin.

Theisman, like most of the media analysts, are clowns.

Barnwell is about the last guy I would figure where race is an issue, so a lot of ignorance coming from posters there who I'm thinking couldn't pick Bill out of a lineup.

Barnwell has always been weird with us though.  For YEARS he pumped up the Bucs, picked us last in the division, and maybe Cam finally broke him.  He also can't pronounce Newton to save his fuging life.

Not just this guy, most of the national media are saying Philly beat themselves and don’t really say much about Cam and his 4th qtr heroics.

If it was Brees, Rodgers, Brady, Roth, Goff(insert anyone else) they would be slobbering on their jocks.

It’s crazy, there wasn’t as much talk about our game as I anticipated. Heck, even the announcers at the end of the game barely said anything.

    • Possible, he is physical and a forchecker but not a needle mover, but i wouldnt mind it, although I think we have enough 4th line grinders right now between Carrier Robinson and Janakowski  down there, i actually really love our 4th line.            We need scoring in the top 6, and a RHD at this point its definitely coming via trade.            Rasmus Andersson I hear may be on the market, it feels like every couple of seasons someone links us to Erik Karlsson.       As far as centers go,  Marco Rossi (even though we have a ton of smurf already)     Jordan Kyrou is an intriguing option if he is available.           At this point i think Rod should just move Jarvis to his natural center position to give us a 1B center...   yes hes also a smurf but he plays way bigger than he is stylistically.

    • The problem with these summary stats and rankings is that they flatten out progression and assume an even performance throughout the year. His first 3 or 4 games of the season don't really tell you anything about his current level of capacity but more about where he started and what his floor was last year. Given his last several games were against playoff teams, that gives you an idea of his current ability coming into the season. But it will serve more as a floor than a ceiling given the upgrade in talent on offense. And a better defense should give us more stops which results in shorter fields and more opportunities. And going into his third year there is no reason to suspect he will regress. His success wasn't  based on being superhuman but being smart and taking what was the defense was giving him. Distributing to the other guys not trying to do it on his own. He was great at the end when pressured and consistently moved the ball. That makes him a great game manager which is what we need. Something that is easier to do and relies on everyone else rather than having to be a top physical specimen or do it on his own. No one can predict the future but to say we haven't improved much is crazy given just having the Browns anchoring the defensive line will shut down the run and make sure QBs won't be stepping up in the pocket.  Assuming Evero got the message to can the prevent defense and bend until you break philosophy.
