Could this just be Ron auditioning for his next job elsewhere as a DC?

Anyone think it's possible that Tepper already told Rivera he'll be fired after the season, and now the changes today are just Ron trying to prove himself as a defensive play caller again so he's highly sought after in the offseason? Not sure I believe it but it was an interesting thought that crossed my mind,

If Rivera is fired, he'll likely get a shot at HC once more, so I doubt that he's auditioning for a demotion.

Not so sure about right away. I bet more along the lines of Kubiak after the Texans fired him and he got the Broncos job after a stint as OC. Especially in this day of coaching where most teams are looking for young, promising offensive minds...

It's entirely possible. I think Ron sees the writing on the wall.

I just think he’s been slow to change until the season is now done for.

he should have made that change after Pittsburgh.

i mean had we won the 3 games since Pitt and came in 9-3 instead of 6-5 and then had this game with 4 ints, we probably still pull it out at 10-3 but if we don’t we 9-4, season still a maybe.

him waiting put us out.

I think that teams are just looking for coaches that can win. Sean McVay is an anomaly.

Of course this doesn't mean teams don't want "young, promising offensive minds," but I'm not so sold quite yet that most of these owners want to make them head coaches without some legit experience.

    • I don't think it's a homer though when I really feel this team can beat anyone.  The points that can be scored in bunches when the big three are on has high potential.  Moose has effort for days and IMO is the heart of the team.  And didn't see Miles becoming the team "vet" in the starting lineup just roleplaying lol.   We have to limit the turnovers though (Brandon Miller I'm looking at you bud, you are a bad ball handler) and some little things.   Colby off the bench is a cheat code and him and Kaulk have a nice little game going with the picks.    Sion playing every game and just getting better each game.  He has grit.  Grant and Green also grit.  We need replace Tillman with PJ Hall though.  Tillman looks like someone that shouldn't be on an NBA court, or at least with this team, he's just too slow for this tempo.   Even McNeely looked decent tonight and can drive.   If Kaulk and Moose could even be like 30% 3pt shooters man....
    • 1.) LaMelo 2.) Kon 3.} Miller 4.. Giannis 5.) Moose   1.) Coby 2.) ? 3.) Sion 4.) Miles Bridges 5.) Kalk That squad would win multiple chips.
