I just have to disagree. Besides the New Orleans home game where everyone played great he wasn't the same this year. Still decent for a NFL linebacker, but he's not the Thomas Davis we use to know. He use to rival Luke out there, but now it's not close to the same.

Since the tweet was deleted and the WFNZ Twitter account isn't exactly known for breaking news, I would hold off on assuming this is a done deal until we get more information.

Even before this possible news, I've had Linebacker as the 3rd most important need on the team. We really fell off in a hurry there between TD's decline and Shaq never living up to his billing.

I hope this is not true. TD and Pep are the only two I would gladly welcome back for one more year in a reserve role on a team friendly deal. They should not be starting but could absolutely help this team

It will be interesting to see if this report is accurate.

If it is, it may be a sign that the Panthers management is finally getting away from the bad habit of rewarding players for past performance and making roster decisions with their hearts instead of their heads.

That would bode well for this team's future.
