HUGE problem with PI rule

But that replay official will need ''clear and obvious visual evidence'' to review and overturn potential pass interference in an attempt to avoid too many stoppages, and that official will have only the angles on the television broadcast available to overturn an on-field decision.

[Emphasis mine.] There's the problem in a nutshell with any replay review and it will come up again and again with the PI review. Few games each week use enough cameras to show all the angles, MNF, SNF, TNF (sometimes), the "game of the week" (sometimes). And that is why the same reviewed play is called one way in one game and another way in a different game. Or one way in the playoffs and differently in the regular season. For all the money that is made from the broadcasts, you'd think spending a little more to give all games the same amount of cameras/angles should be a priority.

There will definitely be controversy surrounding a multitude of PI calls this season... At this point I think the NFL relishes the controversy though.

There is no conceivable way this will not affect the pace of play as well as outcomes.

All we can hope is that the Panthers don't get screwed by this needless, reactionary BS...

Just get rid of referees, stop play between downs and let the booths call each play,...

3 officials watch, 2 out of three vote.

each game will only take 3 days like a cricket game,...

a better idea is take all of the HD views away from the field and fans, just have normal views and get rid of replay all together.

then it’s oh well hells bells.

Wait, aren't all games available on NFL Sunday Ticket?  That seems to me it would imply at least good TV coverage at all games.

Absolutely, 100% because the pussies from shanty town cried and ironic that it’s juat for PIs when the other angles of the same play show two obvious penalties on the OL.

The disaster of this rule will be epic.

This knee jerk PI rule is going to be a disaster.

It's only a thing because it happened to golden boy mole brees. If that same poo happened to Newton, it would barely of made the news. This rule wont help us in any way.

I didn't think it was Pass Interference to be honest. Even had the DB pulled up, the pass would've been incomplete, most likely.
