Poor Cam, flying coach... no leg room. Offers $1,500 to switch seats, gets rejected.

I live in CLT so I fly AA but not my favorite

1- Delta

2- Southwest

3- Jetblue

4- AA

5- United

6- Frontier Airlines (they got a bunch of new planes)

7- Alaska Airlines

I live in Charlotte as well. Recently flew with Delta to NYC but taking American to Mexico soon. Was hoping you’d have ranked American higher based on my upcoming trip as I am not a frequent flyer.

JFK to DXB on A380 ALWAYS has business seats available when check in opens. Usually $800

Last time I looked(and it was a while ago) the A380 out of DC was pretty pricey(coach was $1800-2500). Is JFK generally cheaper for Emirates? I honestly just want to check out that A380, which was why I was considering Emirates.

Heh yea all US airlines I’ve tried have been awful.

Because they actually have to compete without any government assistance.  Many of the Airlines mentioned here get a lot of assistance and in some cases are even owned by the government of a country (Singapore Airlines for example).  This gives them a significant competive advantage.

I would have been sick if I was sitting next to the guy.  I would have offered him additional funds just to have been able to sit next to Cam for 10 hours, are you kidding me??  Like you ain’t sleeping dawg, we talking.

But Mexico is only a couple hours and I fly down there quite a bit. That short of a flight, there's not a lot to differentiate one carrier over another.

Wasn’t business class. There was no price difference between cams seat and that seat, that guy just got lucky and got the exit isle seat. I woulda taken the money even if it wasn’t cam, but who knows. Maybe that guy was even richer than cam and didn’t need the money. Cam handled it fine and there’s no real story here. Just fuel for the internet trolls to make baseless comments (I first saw this story on PFT. The comments were as to be expected. There was even a SB fumble comment...)

There is different price points in coach. Now a days the seats in the first part of coach have extra leg room then in the back and cost more depending on the length of the flight. Exit row seats cost more too.

    • Per Bill Barnwell  Broncos part ways with a CB on the roster bubble Broncos get: 2026 seventh-round pick Panthers get: CB Damarri Mathis The Broncos have a rare problem among NFL teams: too many cornerbacks. ESPN's Jeff Legwold projects they could move on from Mathis, who was very good as a rookie in 2022 before losing his starting job after the defense's slow start in 2023. He played just 27 defensive snaps after Week 6 that season and 80 more across 10 games in 2024. With the Broncos using their 2025 first-round pick on cornerback Jahdae Barron, they could justify moving on from Mathis, who might not be active on game days even if he sticks around. Mathis' best season came with defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero in Denver, and he hasn't been able to reach those same heights since Evero left for Carolina. The Panthers are set with Jaycee Horn, Mike Jackson and nickel corner Chau Smith-Wade as their three starting corners, but Mathis could push the 28-year-old Jackson and serve as Carolina's primary reserve on the outside. Mathis is owed $3.4 million in 2025, so Denver might essentially buy a draft pick by eating some of that cash, similar to what the Commanders did when they sent running back Brian Robinson Jr. to the 49ers.
    • They can get fuged for a 6th and 7th. Doesn't make sense for us for anything less than a 4th and them paying a majority of his salary.
