Eric Reid says IF Cam is hurt badly, Kaepernick could and should definitely “come in and help us.” Again, he stressed the IF and said he hoped Cam was fine.

Looking at our back ups it's not a outlandish statement. Knowing Kap will use the entire year to bash Jay Z would be interesting. Rivera and Hurney would be fired to and that's not a bad thing either.

Kaep got beat out by Blaine Gabbert.... Allen looked better in week 17 than Kaep has in any game since 2014. It’s really not an option at all, he sucks and would bring a huge distraction. If the goal is to get 1st overall pick however then sure.

At this point, he might not be wrong, but without Cam, I don't think it matters whether it's Kaepernick or Allen or Grier back there

I say sign Kaepernick for one reason: stop the crap. Either he comes in and lights it up and we hear the "league should've had him back sooner" talk for a year or he'll fall on his face and we hear the "see, this is why nobody signed him" talk for a year.

 

Win either way TBH. We either get a good QB or we finally stop having people on here thinking it's a good idea. Apart from the fact that I was never impressed with his play, he has been out for far too long. Wouldn't be fair to judge him for like, 6 weeks and by then the season is either lost or damn close to it.
