Official Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Carolina Panthers Gameday Thread!

Hello there ladies and gents.

Welcome to the second gameday of the season.

Tonight out beloved Carolina Panthers host the Buccaneers of Tampa Bay in their first divisional matchup of the season.

Television: NFL Network, Fox 46 (Charlotte area)

Radio: 1110am, 99.3 fm

Keys to Panthers Victory

1. Get those turnovers. The Bucs will cough up the ball at times tonight. The Panthers must be ready to capitalize. Fall on it, cover it up.

2. Spread the ball around. Would love to see 6 players with multiple receptions after it's all said and done.

3. Punch them in the mouth. They are coming off a tough home loss on a shirt week. Punch them in the mouth in the first quarter and break their will. Go up 14-0 quickly.

As always, this thread is for general gameday banter. Please do not start reactionary topics in the forum. Well thought out topics always welcome.

Let's go Panthers and Keep Pounding!

I'm suppose to be working now, but I can't do anything. My mind is consumed with what if's, could be's, will this or that happen, will I have any fingernails left, what time is it now, I still hate the patriots, we going to win this one, we gonna lose this one, will I be crying happy tears we doing good or I'll cry in bathroom puking and punching pillows.  I can't think clearly, need this game to hurry up so I can have some closure!  LOL

I do hope we spread the ball around more, but I don’t believe that’s why we lost last week. We have to protect the football. We turned it over 3 times and still came close to winning. I don’t heap blame on Moore for the fumbles. First was a great defensive play, the other was a great defensive play.....although I still question it was a fumble. Don’t turn the ball over and this one is ours convincingly.

    • Agreed re: injuries. I think that there's been enough done to where the team has starting talent at almost every position group (except LB now), but some of those groups are incredibly top-heavy without much depth (ie: DB + LB imo). I think that the roster has been built out enough to where losing a guy in the trenches isn't going to be as devastating as it has been recently... but maaaan if Jaycee gets hurt right after signing his new deal that's going to suck even worse than it has before. 😕 I've heard rumours that Hubbard might have patella-related issues (didn't he have a subluxation last season towards the end?), and if that's true I don't doubt we're going to get a much healthier dose of Dowdle than we did Miles Sanders during his tenure. As much as I want to see the pass game take off, it's got a lot of young and unproven commodities that it's depending on to work. I'm expecting growing pains, but with actual growth rather than just the pain.
    • Heading into the '26 draft, I would've said LB was our R1 pick and that does not look like it will change for me.  I also think a LB will shake free from a team between now and week 1 that is in the Mike Jackson cornerback tier of player. Whether its a trade or cut, I think Dan will bring in some competition. I'm not a huge fan of the FA crop that's left, so we shall see.  Rozeboom is not that far off of Josey, IMO and I feel that the coaching staff sees that too.  Wishing the best for Jewell to get better and live life.
