NFCS wide open?

With the all the injuries this weekend, have you changed your outlook on possibly having a chance at the NFCS title?

Brees could miss some significant time.  And Teddy Bridgewater looks like Kyle Allen.

Atlanta already lost Lindstrom and McGary has to leave with a knee injury. McGary said his knee was making all kinds of snapping an pooping noises. Although he did return to the game but they are unsure about the longterm issue of his knee  Their OL Is not that much better than ours right now.  Probably would have lost last night if not for half of the Eagles team getting injured also.

But I’m not sure that changes the confidence I have in us actually making a run.  Main reason is our  coaching staff.

But if we can fix our OL and Cam can get it together we could actually be competitive.

What say you??

For the other teams, yes.

But until we know if Cam can return to form on even a semi-consistent basis, then we have no chance.

When in 8 years has Rivera proven he can coach a winning team with a subpar Cam?  When he falters so do we usually.  I hate to say it because I try to be optimistic but we just HAVE to see good Cam before playoffs is a realistic thought.

Don't underestimate Ron still getting outcoached by Sean Payton (even without Brees) and Dan Quinn. So to answer your question, no it has not changed my outlook. I've lost confidence in this coaching staff ever since that superbowl fiasco (hell, I still wasn't confident in Ron after all those blown leads we allowed over that year). And supercam isn't walking through that door any time soon. So that means Ron and Co would actually have to put together solid gameplans week to week and make adjustments during games. Yeah, not going to happen.

If anything it looks perfectly in line for the Bucs to finally accomplish what they've been hyped to do for the last 10 years.

We'd have to string together convincing wins against good opponents before any hope should be salvaged, this roster is past limping into the playoffs for moral wins or some poo.

ATL and TB are inconsistent

NO will be at .500 and we are in essence the Freido of the division

Inconsistent after 2 weeks of play? How do you come to that conclusion so fast? You’re hoping they’re inconsistent. If NO didn’t lose Brees we’d finish in 4th place.

    • Seven North Carolina players have entered the transfer portal or announced their intentions to enter so far today: Derek Dixon (6.5 PPG) Jonathan Powell (4.8 PPG) Kyan Evans (4.0 PPG) Zayden High (3.4 PPG) Isaiah Denis (1.9 PPG) Jaydon Young (1.8 PPG) James Brown (1.2 PPG)
    • As long as we have DB, odd man fronts are the way to go for us. We want to line DB up between the guard and tackle (4i-tech) because of how quick he is off the snap and his punch on the guard off the snap. If anyone is wondering why he pretty much has to be doubled (or combo blocked) just about every snap, its because he is lined up in that spot in our odd man front. If we change to an even front, it becomes a lot harder to have DB play the 4i-tech.  Not sure if I would say Evero likes smaller NTs - I wouldn't call Bobby Brown a small NT by any sense. I think we run a 1-tech NT, so they are usually getting double teamed (or combo blocked) by concept alone. I actually think Bobby Brown did a pretty good job of eating blocks and being positionally sound on most runs at him (not his fault we were rocking ass LBs last year + Wharton being god awful). The bigger problem came on the toss plays/outside runs where DB wasn't able to blow it up in the backfield (i.e., the Bills game). Lloyd should help with the run D and getting a rangy LB in the draft will definitely help. There are also some good 1-tech DTs (and 0-techs) that can be instant day 1 starters for us in the draft.
    • Thanks for bringing receipts. I appreciate the facts, but they are a stark contrast to what we see on the ice, but maybe, as I've said before, his "aw sh!t" moments just seem to weigh heavier than his "attaboy" moments.
