I noticed . . .

Agreed, Kyle should know the playbook pretty well at this point.

And Cam always does that thing where he goes down on one knee in the huddle to call the play (which in itself is fine) but then when they break he seems to take his sweet time standing up sometimes and slowly walks up to the line.

Honestly, I get he started kneeling all time because he would only do it before when he was tired. But at this point, he needs to change it somehow to create a better flow for himself.

Not sure if anyone else did . . . but our offense with Kyle Allen was quicker in and out of the huddle.  We were getting to the line with plenty of time to look things over.  It's only one game, but if it continues this way, you have to consider that our offense under Cam is paced the way it is because of Cam, not because of Ron, Norv, Shula or whoever.

It seemed to me to run quicker. I don’t know if that’s Cam’s fault. Maybe they took some quality time and fixed their communication process. It takes a minute to get that play down. Maybe Norv did a little self-scouting and figured some things out.

The other thing I noticed yesterday was Allen hitting those receivers in stride...something rarely seen from our offense.

Yep!  It infuriates me to see other QBs with that kind of accuracy, which is frankly, something Cam has not had his entire career.  There is a marked difference with the accuracy, touch and anticipation between Cam and Allen.  We dont need our QB to be superman anymore, we've got playmakers galore on the offense - we need a QB who can deliver the ball accurately and on time.  Thats it.

This has been a recurring theme across multiple offensive coordinators

cam is the common factor

Lol....And yet the offense has never changed under Rivera so the concepts have always been the same with multiple coordinators which is also a common factor. Most backup qbs are gonna get a simplified gameplan anyway over a starter.

Noticed the same thing, couldn’t believe what I was seeing.. had to make sure I had the right game on.

Dont know what it is, maybe Cam likes to take his time and Allen is quicker. Whatever it is I want to keep seeing it. You get to the line faster and you have time to read the defense vs having to snap the ball with 2 seconds left or wasting a TO

Usually I would agree, but I don't think that is the case here.  I think with all the injuries over the past 2 years, Cam has hardly been able to practice.  Allen has probably been getting plenty of reps in practice.  I saw lots of plays and misdirection that has been missing for a while.

I mentioned this in another thread earlier.  Definitely something I was talking about with my buddies while watching yesterday.

Didn't realize that actually asked Cam to throw over and behind the receivers.

The touchdown to DJ involved throwing behind a clear out and good timing. Nothing simplistic about it.
