I Thought Kyle Allen Was the Next Tom Brady

According to probably 95% of the people on here who were trying to make comparisons between him and Brady. I tried to tell everyone to cool their jets as he is yet to play a decent NFL defense but everyone was already screaming for Cam to pack his bags and hit the road because we have an all time great quarterback now. Nobody wanted to listen. Allen is a decent QB but to think he is an elite QB right now is hilarious. He has the ability to make some great throws. Unfortunately there is a lot more to being an NFL QB than that. So can we please pump the brakes and give him a chance to be consistent over a long stretch of time before crowning him. It isn't fair to him

Whether you're Pro-Kyle or Pro-Cam, it's ridiculous how much this fan base roots against its own players.

if you're Pro-Panthers there is no such thing as Pro-Kyle or Pro-Cam lol. It's obvious who the player only fans are they've been apparent from day one.

Maybe 2 people here compared him to Brady, one. And second, Brady was very average his first several years, carried by his defense and offensive supporting cast to their first 3 SBs. Doubt Brady had any 4 TD games in his first 5 years, so even with a game like today you can’t really say anything about Allen’s career with it.

He's played effectively, had one more blindside of a sack-fumble, the other he should've held on to.  So really, one mistake, leading us to a 7 point halftime lead on the road.  This thread sucks.

The issue is that neither strip sack were blindsides, pretty sure they were both from the right side which he needs to feel/see. That should come with experience.

    • Lil Stanky 100% in the dot tonight... And our 2nd line has been our best offensive line this season. Maybe our 2C really was on the roster this whole time...?
    • That’s a grade I kind of expected tbh. I’m not a huge fan of NS, but he’s not as bad as what the huddle says he is minus the horrible game he had vs the Rams. I’ve always thought he’s often used as a scapegoat. The improved pass rush should hide his deficiencies a little bit better if he’s the game one starter. FS might have to be a position we punt on this year unless Thieneman falls to us at 19. The reality is, you're going to have a few average players in certain spots for a team with as many holes we had before free agency started. You can’t sign everyone.
    • I am by no means trying to say he's a world beater. I'm saying it's trending in the right direction. Especially when measured against himself.i think the team feel the same way or else they wouldn't have picked up his option. Plus I think there is a new idea in the NFL about these young QBs. Teams give up to soon. Browns gave up to soon on baker same with the jets on Geno and darnold. Maybe they are who you thought they were in the draft process and they need more time to develop than you originally planned. Either way. I do think he is as capable as darnold is as far as you can win a championship with him. And something he does have that darnold doesn't is he is clutch.  If I need one more drive and 2 mins to go I'm betting on Bryce and I am far from a homer, just going off his game winning drives. He has that dog in him on the last drive.
