Probably just need to go ahead and cut Grier

Starting QB for the team next year is either Cam or isn't on the team yet.

Kyle Allen for all his faults has shown enough to be the backup QB.

Grier is at best number 3 on the depth chart. He won't make it to the PS because someone will poach him, and he doesn't have any meaningful trade value because teams know Carolina won't hold on to him.

Clearly showed nothing in his two starts. A clean slate and a fresh start would do him good.

I honestly don't think taking him in the third was that big a mistake; there's cost/benefit value there, especially if the scouts were sold on him and it wasn't just Hurney trying to outsmart the league.

But yeah, c'est la vie. Hope that No Bull sponsorship paid well.

How can you honestly evaluate Grier when the o-line has been straight up garbage? And there are multiple examples of guys having horrible rookie years(Grier has played exactly two games) and having great careers.

Not saying Grier is a future HOFer but I can almost guarantee he will be on the roster in 2020.

Well I can't, but you can make the same argument for Allen.

Grier doesn't even look like he can complete the route tree, which is exactly what I was told about him from a friend that works for the team.

I don't see the point of keeping both Allen AND Grier. Why have a competition for your number 3 QB?

Because Allen looked much better behind the same line.

Now he might improve and if he does (like a lot) he just might be an average back up.

Grier has possibly been one of the worst Quarterbacks I've ever seen in the NFL. He's shown absolutely nothing. poo, even Jimmy Clausen had that one checkdown to Stewart that was memorable.

He hasn't even played 6 quarters in the NFL... honestly on days like this I'm not sure if this is sarcasm or not

I can evaluate him. He can't throw. It's painfully obvious. I actually feel bad for him and wish him the best but the NFL is not going to work out.

1/8 for 4 yards, 1 INT 1 sack and 0.00 rating with a 0.1 QBR.  I told you guys we officially went in tank mode when they "benched" Allen.

Let me remind you all Hurney had a 1st round grade on this guy.  Yet, we are allowing him to help in our coaching vacancy search??????

He’s just up Allen’s ass. I saw every game of Clausen’s career here. Ironically, Grier — for his many faults — had more passing yards in his first start than Clausen did in any game.
