What if this was a power move by Cam to pin the fans against Tepper ?

That is what it is to a degree. By communicating what his intentions are (staying with the Panthers), he has put the ball in the Panthers management's court. I would expect the Panthers to reciprocate the intention if this is in fact what they plan on doing next year. If they do not respond in kind, then that would be a way of saying that they have their reservations.

I will state in what I have said before, it is great that Cameron and his agent are being forthcoming, but until we hear it from there Panthers, then I would not declare it as gospel. This is the thing that I would be the most concerned about.

You would think more fans would be concerned about the prospects of letting a franchise QB walk and possibly signing an RB coming off a 5 win season to a mega extension. But nope a good few are ready to rejoice the day #1 is gone.

For the last near decade we heard that winning is all that matters. Apparently that changed in 2019 though with a rushing/receiving record in a season where we were swept by the Saints and Falcons who were at one point a 2 win team.

Would be really good if Rhule or Tepper would just come out and state Cam is our QB.  End all the nonsense. Shouldn’t be that hard

Not sure what there is to declare.

Cam has been our QB since he's been a Panther. If he's healthy, he's a go. What's to question?

This is a rebuilding year.  Let's give Cam a chance to show that his injuries are behind him.  He deserves that.  And he has all the tools to make this offense incredibly dynamic... and I mean with his arm.  Samuel fuged up plenty last year but he would benefit so much from Cam being back.  Moore has another year under his belt and really came around.  and CMC is... CMC.  So let's get Cam back in here if he'll play out his deal.  We aren't going to find a better option during a rebuilding year, IMO.

I do think Kyle Allen can be a good backup, as he did what you want a backup to do: he came in, took what the other team gave him, and helped us win some games over a few game stretch. but he couldn't do more than that, and as the team collapsed around him he got worse and worse.  He's still young enough that I hope he can improve and be a solid backup for us behind Cam for years to come, but he could just as easily flame out of the league.  We'll see.

I am surprised and happy to get something besides a poop emoji from you, haha.

I generally save my ire for pols, but people in general, I like, no matter the color, gender or age.  We will come to different conclusions on a lot of things, but hate and stupidity are not the reasons.  I think the Huddle could use some opinions from you.  Not that they will agree with them, but you are more than the "poop emoji" guy you've shown over the last couple years.  Hard to debate emojis:)
