Rock Star's portal is down for some reason this morning so no Red Dead Redemption 2 for me. Guess I'll have to actually do some housework or take a walk.

Is the online any good?  I love the story mode but heard the online part was pretty flawed when it first came out.  I think they’ve updated it a bit since then though.  I might give it a try

Well first let me put in the disclaimer that I only started playing about a month or two ago, and have never played any Rock Star products except dabbling in GTA 5 to humor a friend. But I have to say that although GTA didn't really do it for me, I find RDR2 to be maybe the most immersive game I've ever played, and I'm a guy who normally doesn't care about immersion much in gaming. The online version now has 4 roles you can earn which each bring a fair chunk of content and as a sandbox self directed, figure out what you wanna do and go do it game, it's top notch. If you need more of the theme park roller coaster experience, maybe not your bag, but I'm really enjoying the fine craftsmanship they put into their world and attention to detail. I'd recommend it highly.

Howdy partner ! (NO spoilers, don't worry) I build my PC recently just to play this magnificent game. Sadly, while waiting for the PC version, I already saw big spoilers from mfkers on youtube who put it in their thumbnails and titles. This game is truly something special, nice to see fellers around here playing it.

I've seen some bits and pieces about the Tarheels from last night but I don't actually know what happened.

Aside from missing nearly 50% of our FT and allowing a 13 point lead to dwindle, the officiating was also downright horrendous and a horrible call gave Duke the ball with enough time for some buzzer beater heroics (twice-one in regulation and another in OT).

I’m tired of hearing about the missed free throws. Yes, they should have made them, but that does NOT excuse the awful officiating that directly influenced the outcome of the game. It’s ridiculous. UNC was robbed. This is going to be a year a team like Dayton or Seton Hall wins the tournament.

    • They use stats to create the basis of their grading system but the stats based on the outcome of the plays (that aggregate into what we football fans call "stats") are not incorporated into the grade. That's the best I can do in terms of explaining this to you. I've tried, every link from PFF has tried, yet you just keep on keeping on. LOL
    • PFF uses the term "context normalized-scoring," which is based upon statistics. Hell, any serious metric or analytic systems are based upon stats and expectations, and looks at what players do against those expectations, but If you don't think that stats play any part in a players grades, be wrong. At the end of the day, it's heady anyway, so everyone is not going to understand everything. I'm done with this conversation for now. But just know, it's OK to be wrong.
    • It's hilarious watching you crash out while being completely wrong. Every link you posted regarding player grades specifically told you that they aren't incorporating stats into these grades, that it's based on their evaluation individual plays. That sent you scouring the internet where you came back with soccer grades as some type of gotcha before you shifted to pass protection grades where you misunderstood that they were using stats to create the basis of their grading system but not in the actual actual creation of the player grades. Pointing that out sent you back to the internet to dig some more where you came back with their "Advanced Coverage Grade" metric which is separate from their player grade.
