Would you be willing to get Mims or Jefferson in Round 2??

These wrs stocks probably going through the roof with the combine.

I'm willing to guess most of you are against taking juedy or lamb with pick 7 , but would you be willing to pick up guys like Mims or Jefferson in R2 assuming we got some home run pick with pick 8 (ex OT, DT, Simmons, Okudah)

And there's the obvious lsu and Baylor connections they have with Brady and Rhule

So many bigger needs than WRs right now. I mean, this is group is epic in ability, but we just need so many other pieces in DL, OL, LB and DB. Maybe with such rich pickings in WRs, it will free up some quality prospects in those other positions for our selections.

I agree we need linemen for both sides.  But this is an exceptional WR class.  Do you pass up a 8/10 WR for a 6/10 OL?  With the draft, it all comes down to value at the pick.  If there's a WR who can become an upgrade for us versus a meh, OL, then it's a no brainer.

I think FA will have DB, and OL depth as an emphasis, and with the return of Cam maybe we can retain some of our own FA's.

This way when the draft hits Brown or Simmons, in the first and Mims at the top of Rd 2, followed by OG in the 3rd is a nice way to start the 7 picks. I also am not totally unsure that we don't trade back this year at least once, only 7 picks, no comps...then again, if Brown or Simmons is staring you in the face at #7 that's hard to pass up.

(To add, I wonder with Luke retiring, and Poe under contract does that make Simmons more viable since there is slightly less need for a NT if we keep Poe)

Yes

1. Joe Brady's offense is going to be 3-4 WRs sets vs 2 WR/2TE sets

2. We have 2 WRs under contract this up coming year.

3. Both of these guys would be top 20 pick in 90% of other drafts

Id do backflips for Mims rd 2

In addition, we've met with Jerry Jeudy at the combine. Even though I don't agree, watch out for him being our 1st round pick.

    • Not sure how much he was a long term piece of this team.   Sucks to not have him as part of the rotation.   Looks like it's Lee Hunter time.
    • This post was an error. Oops and sorry for the errors in the previous one. Too slow to edit.   We’ll see what they do.
    • I am not sure he will put the over the games but we’ll probably have them.   Two things I am thinking.  We have 4 preseason games.  All the coaches have enough service time to know the standards that are in place for decades. If I recall it was play your starters just a series to start woth and build it up until week theee where play a lot and you have week four to set hour roster. Evaluate before cuts.   Bevell will certainly have the whole thing down pat.   I’d they don’t do the fries and frie air will worry too. Because it is set up to do that.     I have said since they went t three preseason people have to figure a new way are still feeling it out and trying things.  We don’t have to this year.
