Russell "Injury Prone" Okung missed 12 out of 48 Regular Season games for Chargers.

1 in each of his first two seasons with them. Missed weeks 1-7 last year, one more in the middle of his return, and then the last two of the season.

And as long as he is not one of the 2-4% of people who develop long term lung damage, he should have recovered much better than Pardis did with half the commitment.

Worst case he's shot. Best case he's a good stop gap blindside protector.

An older guy missed 25% of his game at probably the most injury prone position in football, many of them being last year (you also fail to leave out he missed the last 2 games last year because of them being 5-9 and not wanting to hurt him any worse)

What is all of this "IF" he can come back from his health issues??? He played the final 6 games of last season. It's understandable that he'd be rusty during those games as he had come back from a major health scare. He'll have an entire off-season to recondition, and training camp with his old line coach to get re-acclimated. Even if he's just alright, he'll be better than what we had last year.

    • See that's the thing what I saw in game 2 was so embarrassing id rather they could just forfeit
    • Are you arguing that his height deficiencies and footwork within the pocket have not been a present issue clearly seen on his game tape particularly in the games he struggled in? Because that's simply denying what everyone in this fanbase who have watched the games have seen. It's interesting how hardline BY fans here quickly and effortlessly pivot from whailing about being victimized to becoming the aggressor and hurling out allegations of bias and hatred. And at the end of the day while Bryce Young clearly improved significantly from the first two games of the season the reality of the situation is he still finished 42nd in yards per pass attempt behind Mac Jones and tied with Caleb Williams and 38th in passing yards per game behind the likes of Gardner Minshew Aidan O'Connell Drake Maye and Will Levis. Furthermore it took Bryce Young 23 games to surpass Panthers legend Kyle Allen's 13 games worth of passing yardage in 2019. So if your argument is he became a head and shoulders better passer over the course of the second half of the season the reality is we're still waiting to see that growth this season. And there is nothing controversial or vitriolic about saying so from the mind of a rational observer.
    • Cam regularly threw for less than 200 yards and nobody questioned he was elite. He averaged 219 yds per game for his career.  You seem to be way too hung up on yards as a stat.  By that definition Jameis Winston should have been MVP by now.
