Fortunately Rhule values defense and brought in Stone to execute it. Most of the free agents we are losing outside of Bradberry are getting older and while productive have essentially met their ceiling. Bradberry should be given the transition tag and allowed to shop. That way we can match the deal or get a1st. If you paired him with Okudah and moved Jackson to the nickel, we would be a mlb and nose tackle  away from at least competing. At least we wouldn't be a patsy serving as a get better quick game for everyone in the league.

OP is right. We’re not drafting defense at 7. We’re drafting defense at 13 after we trade down with the Colts. Kinlaw baby!

Anything's possible, personally I want Okunda from Ohio St. I understand both thoughts: 1. It's hard to win if you can't score points and 2. It's hard to win if you can't stop your opponent from scoring points. 

I'd just prefer to build  heavier on defense during a rebuild than offense initially...

Of course it depends on the talent available. It happens that we've got very good talent on both sides of the ball earlier.

We have had a very offense focal off-season to this point - I expect that to continue when we draft Jerry Jeudy in April and trot a healthy Cam out with CMC, Moore, Samuel, Jeudy, and Thomas ..

Yeeeeeaaaaaaah .. Panthers are winning Super Bowl 55 and none of you will have saw it coming except me. Cam will be the greatest QB to ever play this game. Shame on all of you.

Handcuffing defense is exactly why you need the best talent to overcome. Good job

when we drafted star, our defense was nutso until we let him walk. luke was less effective because he didn’t have a talented line in front of him.
